Long story short, we've discovered a select few early batch units from the X300 Ultra are susceptible to the Selinux Permissive exploit on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5!

They came with firmware that was not yet patched so are possible to get bootloader unlocked and rooted!

The issue is we're playing a lottery, I myself just got my device and missed the update window by about 1 week.

We need someone with a version that responds to the exploit command.

Interested? If you get a new model, DO NOT UPDATE NOR EVEN CONNECT TO THE INTERNET!!

Instead, set up the device off-line and run this following command in fastboot mode...

fastboot oem set-gpu-preemption 0 androidboot.selinux=permissive

If the device returns an error, you are out of the game.

If the device says "OKAY", your device is vulnerable!! In which case, PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE and reach out via DM! We can potentially then not just unlock the bootloader with some troubleshooting, but also extract the firmware to enable others to roll back eventually and also allow others to go for unlocking!

It's a long shot and I consider this post a hopeless message in a bottle. But perhaps together we can do this! 🙂

New ways to actually FORCE SENSOR MODES have been found and a lot of unlock breakthroughs are now happening, no root required!!
