Looking for suggestions on a simple all round eyeshadow palette kinda like the one by By Mario. Reason why I’m not into this one is because I most likely will not use all the shades, read mixed reviews and would like it not to be all mattes.
Currently using Natasha Denona Biba palette and I’m not happy with it. Too peachy/ orange and some are quite chalky. The shimmers/ toppers are beautiful though.
Any suggestions would be helpful! No budget.
Does anyone have any recommendations for some good oil blotting sheets that remove oil but don’t affect makeup? I’m not too worried about price. Thanks
Hi,
I’ve always just grabbed whatever from Superdrug or boots bc I can’t afford the stuff I see on TikTok or used to be YouTube.
I’m sick of my makeup feeling like makeup coming off by ten am on and around my nose and flaking and powder mixing and going so gross everywhere else!
Please recommend your faves preferably £15 max for oily t-zone and dry skin elsewhere it’s all a bit discoloured with little bumps and saggy eyelids even at 22!
I need skincare night out foundation daily foundation concealer blush powder bronzer highlighter eyeshadow eyebrow penil and gel mascara liner lip combo primer and setting spray and spf
THANK YOU
I know some brands offer a comparison tool with your current brand and shade, but I’m wondering how people match without something like this?
Hi, I'm looking for some suggestions for lip tint/ stains that look natural and last a long time? I've seen wonderskin lip tint advertised everywhere but the reviews are mixed. Any recommendations that are available in the UK? Thanks!
Looking for recommendations for a brightening vitamin c serum? Thanks 🤗
Hello ! I had my hair and makeup trial yesterday and it went really well! I actually teared up a little seeing myself in the mirror, as I felt so beautiful and bridal.
The first photos were taken in her room in natural light, the third is a couple hours later outside, and the last photo is before bed in artificial cool light
Anything you guys notice needs tweaked or adjusted ?
I'm thinking maybe something different for the lip, this was a liner+gloss combo but I think maybe something pinker ? My hair also got caught in the gloss at the beginning which was annoying
Maybe a brighter undereye, or smth to make the blue pop a bit more ? I asked about brown liner instead of black and she said the warmth of the brown might not suit as well as the black.
Would love to hear some thoughts!
I don't wear make up often but I absolutely despise liquid foundation on my skin.
I have oily/mild rosecea/pinky toned/acne scarred skin with crows feet.
When I was younger I used to wear mineral foundation which o felt always suited my skin best. Is it still on the market these days or is there something equivalent?
Any advice welcomed!
And I’ve tried everrrrrything, not even exaggerating! Erborian, Kosas, Rimmel, L’Oreal. I bought Lisa Eldridge foundation which I like but the coverage isn’t the same. I love Catrice foundation but it doesn’t last. Wet n Wild dewy is lovely but breaks me out.
Yesterday I picked up a sample of Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear and I love it! Looks exactly the same as the original Double Wear. So if anyone is on the hunt I highly recommend!
Is it trial and error? I dont have a tonne of money to waste and id also hate to waste products. I currently use No7 perfect stay which is pretty decent but it doesnt hit the way foundation used to on me, but maybe thats because my skin is ageing? Im 30. I also only use cruelty free products. Id be grateful for any help.
don’t mind the pigmentation on my neck, i have eczema. but i got shade matched in boots for the kylie skin tint, we both agreed after swatching a few that 5N was good. when i came home and tried it myself infront of natural lighting as you can see in the image, it just looks so orange on me in person too and it almost dries pinkish. now i saw tiktoks of this shade and it didn’t look orange at all. should i shade match myself? or if anyone has any tips for shade matching it would be much appreciated. i’m not 100% sure about my undertone aswell, my veins appear blue and green like in the middle but i would personally say green.
Has anyone else experienced this with Sephora UK? Popular items shown as in stock for a while around the time I ordered it → marked dispatched → then one of them is out of stock today with no delivery a month later, still saying that the post is delayed with Evri? I asked for them to resend and the same thing happened again.
Now they are not responding after 3 days of notifying them again. I strongly doubt that Evri is the problem- I think Sephora oversold against how much they actually had in stock, and so have failed to resolve this with customers like me.
I was supposed to receive the product twice and the same thing happened both times, looking like a delivery fault; yet they can't have dispatched it the second time, because the item is showing as out of stock... And they didn't even let me know.
I feel like I have been chasing my tail for a month, checking my post all the time, only to discover that I won't be getting anything- no update or honesty from Sephora UK, no apology, no customer service. I've gone to an event and my new job without makeup rather than buy alternative products as I was expecting these. This isn't the type of service you'd get with UK companies like Boots, who would accurately update you, profusely apologise and likely provide a discount as compensation.
The products are a Benefit brow pencil and a Rhode milk toner. The Rhode product is now out of stock.
Anyone got any tips or product recs for an over-makeup SPF spray? I start out the day with SPF + primer if needed + foundation + a bit of powder, but SPF needs reapplying every two hours if outside. I've tried LRP and Bondi Sands sprays, which are supposed to be usable over makeup, but they just look greasy AF! Ultrasun wasn't much better and is so expensive. Not sure if adding powder to soak it up a bit impairs the SPF function either.
Any ideas for things to try, esp on sensitive skin? I prefer natural finishes to super matte, but I'm really not a fan of the shiny look!
I recently started using the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation and at first it looked really good, nice finish, blended easily, and sat well on the skin. But after a few hours, especially around the T-zone, it started to break down and look a bit patchy. I didn’t change anything else in my routine, same primer and setting spray as usual. I’ve tried setting it more and even applying less product, which helped slightly but didn’t fully fix it.
I’m fairly happy with my skin overall after a good few months of a good moisturiser. vitamin C and retinal, but I do still get small spots, especially around my period. Even though these are small and I don’t touch them, these seem to take an age to fade and as a result around my chin are many small red marks. I’m 37 and my skin is leaning dry but not dramatically so.
I’d love to cover these without using too much product - I am trying to move towards a much lighter base without foundation. Currently I use an Armani perfect glow concealer, but it doesn’t cover the marks that well. What are some good products and/or techniques for this?
Has anyone tried the pinpoint concealer type pencils (eg Lisa Eldridge)?
Thanks so much!
Hey,
I am 30 years old, have fair skin, middle blue eyes and middle brown hair with a cool undertone. Sometimes I use 2 self tanning drops to get a bit of color but the undertone stays of course.. I am a beginner and don't own an eyeshadow palette yet.
I know there are plenty of cool tones palettes but I won't be able to visit a store within the next weeks and wanted to order something online, at least one palette. Maybe you wanna help me :)
I don't like wearing many dark colors, rather light to mid.
Colors that suit me and I would like to have in a palette: somethine mauve, a bright pastell purple, white, dark brown, light or middle grey, maybe a champagne kind of color with a bit of shimmer, a cool green or blue would be nice to but not necessary, bronze, cool toned gold.. Of course I'm open for more suiting colors.
I appreciate your help and look forward to your answers!
Just wondering if anyone has found a decent dupe for the NYX Bare With Me Blur Foundation now that it's been discontinued for a while? I've tried a few but nothing seems to match it in consistency or colour (I'm a neutral so it's hard to get decent matches).
The new NYX one they brought out to replace the 2 foundations they cancelled is far too thick and dry for my skin, I'm looking for medium coverage and moisturising but not greasy.
Thanks so much!
I feel a bit at my wits end with buying beauty sponges these days
Previously I've used Real Techniques which I loved but then came to find them extremely inconsistent in texture (sometimes perfect, sometimes way too hard).
I then tried the Elf face sponge which was perfect so I went to replace it and had the exact same issue! 2 sponges bought and both extremely hard!
I like the classic real techniques softness but I find the original Beauty Blender to be a bit TOO soft.
Any recommendations? Feel like I've wasted so much money! Xx
