Unit overload
I got approved by counselor and admissions said they processed it for lahc but it still won’t let me apply and keeps saying “unable to add this class - term maximum exceeded” am I suppose to do something else?
For an ADT, does it matter where I take classes??
I need to speak to a counselor I know, but there's a school that offers a Comp Sci AST that I am considering but its not my "main" campus and I can't take all the classes at that school.
If i take the requirements at different schools can I still claim the AST even though I took most of my classes at different schools?
Just typing it makes me think that it won't work but I am curious.
I am considering changing my major from math to CS or at least do both together and try and double major or something if possible.
Student Success Grant
Hi, so I'm wondering who determines which students get the student success grant? At the beginning of the semester, I was taking 12 units and now I'm taking about 18 after my 8-week class started. I would still have been eligible to receive the 1.2k for students taking 12 units. Sorry, I know there have been major posts/discussions about it, but I decided to take extra units because I know I qualified for the student success grant and the extra money would have been great. Is there no hope now....? 😞
Summer 2026 award package ❔
Does anyone know how long it takes for the school to process and show award disbursement for summer 2026?
Waitlisted for Anatomy 001
Waitlisted for Summer, Anatomy 001, how many people typically drop and make way for those on waitlist? Is there always at least a few?

I cleared all browsing data/history/cache which is what I meant in this email. Do you guys have access to canvas? and how??
Hello, I’m hearing people have already received notification from ELAC for Fall 2026. If you were accepted for Fall 2026, can you notify the rest of us who did the application interview the week of 4/21/26. Also, who’s still waiting to hear back?
sis portal is COMPLETELY down, on the day of enrollment
the universe has a sick fucking sense of humor bro💀
New login page?
This is what i get when click “canvas” from laccd site. Is this the new look? I know a lot hacking is going on so want to be extra careful
Anyone been able to get onto Canvas? I just get an authorization error.

Canvas Hackers, please do something about our SSCG grant and make the state send our money.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Are you guys able to access Canvas yet??
My professor said it’s back online and we can have a couple extra days to submit assignments, but when I try to log in it gives me an error message. On top of that, LACCD just sent an email stating it would be back up and running by Sunday. I’m confused.
I’m not falling for this or am I
Received this email about 15 minutes ago. Not sus at all!
it should be per session! meaning nine credit hours first five weeks and nine credit hours second five weeks!
Canvas outage and I have an exam due tonight
I’m kinda freaking out. I have a 100 point exam due tonight and my canvas isn’t loading due to LACCD apparently being hacked. Anyways, my professor doesn’t accept any late work and I’m worried about this maintenance check.
Hi, I’m trying to understand my financial aid timeline and would appreciate any help from people who’ve been in a similar situation.
Here’s my situation:
I’m a California community college student (LACCD system)
I completed 16 units full-time in Fall 2025
I recently got my GED and submitted my FAFSA late (around mid–late April 2026, about 2–3 weeks ago)
Update as of May 3, 2026:
My financial aid portal just updated
I was awarded:
Pell Grant Fall 2025: ~$3,698
Pell Grant Spring 2026: ~$3,697
Status shows “Accepted”
Disbursement breakdown shows 2 payments per semester
No money has been disbursed yet (still shows $0.00 disbursed)
I’ve attached screenshots of what my portal looks like now.
My questions:
Since I applied late, will I actually receive the Fall 2025 Pell Grant even though that semester already passed?
If yes, does the Fall money usually:
Come together with the Spring disbursement?
Or come separately?
Now that my awards just showed up (May 3), how long does it usually take to actually receive the money?
Will I likely get:
One large deposit (Fall + Spring together)
Or multiple smaller deposits over time?
From what I understand, I was eligible in Fall since I was full-time, but I just want to confirm how the timeline and payout actually works when FAFSA is submitted late.
Any insight or personal timelines would really help. Thanks!
