WARNING: Mochi Health "Digital Dark Patterns" – $359 charged for zero service.

I want to warn anyone about Mochi Health. On March 17, I signed up for a 6-month subscription ($359). I canceled within 48 hours—before ever meeting a doctor or receiving a script.

The Nightmare:

  1. The Ghosting: Immediately after canceling, they disabled my support email access and blocked my patient portal. I couldn't even contact them to discuss a refund.
  2. The Runaround: Their billing department tells me they’ll refund if I drop my bank dispute. This is a trap. If you drop a dispute, you often cannot reopen it.
  3. The Lie: They told my bank (Capital One) that 'goods were received.' I have received nothing, no doctor visit, no labs, no meds.

They are using 'Digital Dark Patterns' to trap fees. If you are looking for Tirzepatide, be careful. They are currently holding $359 of my money for literally nothing. Check the BBB—I am not the only one

Switching To Tirzepatide

First I want to say very clearly that I am not asking for medical advice, I am asking for consensus.

I am switching from Semaglutide to Tirzepatide. I was on the max dose for Sema and they put me on the middle dose for Tirz. Everything I’ve read says I should start with the smallest dose and titrate up but she’s pretty insistent I start with this middle dose.

I’m going to listen to my doctor obviously, but did anyone else experience this when switching? Everyone in my irl never hit the max on Sema before they switched so I’m just curious. Mainly about the side effects and if this is pretty consistent.

1 1/2 Years, Just Cancelled- Cannot Afford Anymore, Super Upset

I just had to cancel after 1 1/2 years, 50 lbs lost. I can't afford it in this economy, my income has been impacted and insurance won't cover it and for nearly $200 a month I need that money for bills. I am so scared to gain the weight back. I am crushed. I work a desk job and I'm 56, nothing else has ever worked. I guess I will walk a lot and eat not much. I am so sad.

Has this happened to anyone?

Just got this message on the Mochi app. This is only my second refill. I requested to increase one level for my second month and got this message right before it’s supposed to send. Is this normal? I’m worried I won’t get my refill on time now or the dosage I’d like. Do they ever switch your pharmacy and will my healthcare provider do something about this?

Just switched to Tirz have a question

Just curious has anyone else had good results with this? I’ve been on Sema for 2 years this month. I was on the highest dose for over a year. I’ve been at a stand still for months. I go thru mochi so Sema was a compound. This is the dose my doctor put me on. Said she was starting me in the middle. Can anyone give me a break down of the dosages?

Dizziness and low blood pressure.

Was on 2.1 for 4 weeks, struggled to get 1000 calories in most days. Focused hard on my protein and getting fluids. Asked my doctor to not increase me, he denied my request and had them ship the 4.4. Last Sunday I took the 4.4 I was already down 11lbs however. My blood pressure is now “low normal” and I’m so tired, like can’t get out of bed, my anxiety has increased, and at times I have to lay down because I’m so dizzy. My PCP suggested today to stop taking it :( I’ve been drinking liquid IV forcing 1400 calories what can help with the dizziness??

Damaged Meds

Has anyone received a damage shipment of your prescription? I have called and been chatting with Mochi about it. They offered a $40 courtesy credit. Half of my med leaked out and it was $199. I have spent several weeks trying to get resolved and no luck. Was wondering if anyone has had this issue and if they were able to resolve it?

I’m so frustrated with the lack of customer service on something that was damaged when it arrived

Mishandled vial

UPs shipped my April vial via ground and not air. It took over a week to be received and was warm. Repeated messages with the care team said it would be replaced but it’s been over two weeks and still no shipping confirmation.

Has anyone had this experience?

I’ve now been charged for May and never received April. I’m thinking to do a credit card chargeback and just switch to a different platform. Any suggestions? I’ve been a customer for over a year and since February I’ve noticed a drastic decrease in responsiveness.

Used this company with pretty much zero results. Decided to cancel end of March after my last medication was received. When I cancelled the medication it said membership would automatically be cancelled and I said OK. Fast forward and now I was charged $199 over a month later. Was told that I only cancelled my medication subscription when person I spoke to said otherwise.

They will not refund me the $199. I guess $199 is worth more than their reputation. They also don’t allow you to remove payment method from account… so that in itself tells you they know exactly what they are doing. I’ve reported them as fraud to my bank and will continue to report them elsewhere. Do better Mochi and stop robbing people!

Just took expired med

Hi! I know this has been brought up before. I just took my shot and realized the fill date was 03/09 but the vial expired on 04/18 which I was surprised by. I did contact Mochi and they said contact my provider, which I did. Well it’s Sunday night. I’m sure I won’t hear anything until at least tomorrow morning. I’d have to say I’m pretty anxious about it.
