Stainless Steel countertops??

Hey :)
I’m 22f and currently trying to gather some realistic experiences with stainless steel countertops 😭
We really love the look, but I honestly know nothing about them yet, and online it’s either super luxury kitchens or people saying stainless steel is the worst thing ever.
What I’m especially curious about:
Is stainless steel actually a good option on a lower/mid budget?

Around how much did yours cost?

Did you do the whole kitchen in stainless steel or just parts of it?

How did you solve the sink situation?

Are water stains/scratches really that annoying in everyday life?

Does anyone maybe have before/after pics or “brand new vs. a few years later” photos?

And most importantly:
What should you pay attention to when buying?
(e.g. thickness, finish, brushed vs polished, mounting, brands, etc.)
I’d really love honest experiences — especially things you would do differently in hindsight.
Thank you 🫶

My plans

Planning to renovate my bedroom. Is a small room so it we’ll take much efforts and time. Amy suggestions?

Spent some time capturing this space today. I’m obsessed with the contrast between the brutalist concrete pillars and the soft boucle seating. The way the natural light hits the stone island in the kitchen vs. the moody, dark-paneled living area creates such a distinct atmosphere.

Need help arranging a 3+1+1 sofa set in my living room without making it look cramped

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to buy a 3+1+1 sofa set for my living room and need suggestions regarding placement, size, and overall look. I’ve attached my layout plan and room photos for reference.

Current details:

  • Wall color: cream pie of asian paints (cream/beige shade)
  • Tiles: light grey
  • TV unit has a brown wood + white theme
  • I want the living room to look modern, and comfortable

I’m confused about:

  1. Best placement for the 3-seater and the two single seats
  2. Whether the room will feel too congested with a full 3+1+1 setup
  3. Ideal sofa color and material for this interiror
  4. Suggested sofa dimensions based on the room size

Please feel free to suggest:

  • Better layouts
  • Color combinations
  • Material recommendations (fabric vs leatherette)
  • Any decor ideas that would improve the overall look

Note: I can remove the bed.

Thanks in advance!

New window treatments. Pardon the mess on the bed. It’s trash from the curtain rod assembly.

I love this sheer curtain pattern, so I did a double curtain rod. Sheer on the inside and blackout (green) on the outside. I like the look of this during the day (as pictured) but at night I close the green curtains and they’re just so plain and boring.

So I thought about maybe getting green curtains with subtle print so they’re not ‘boring’ when closed. But I worry adding a print to the green curtain will be too busy with the sheer curtain pattern.

This window is the highlight of my house (my favorite part) so I want it to be nice. Also thinking of doing a bit of greenery along the interior of the two peaks.

Advice?

Hi. I would like to mirror the wall to the right (as seen in photos) of the windows. I would order the mirrors -thinking 2 panels- and then antique them to take away some of the mirroring.

The width of the wall is 25 and 5/8inches. the length from the top of the window frame to the bottom of the ledge under the window is 80inches.

Trying to figure out the perfect width of the mirrors!? Also any other helpful advice is much appreciated. Thanks :)
