A Study in Shadows and Stone: Our Dark Minimalist Apartment

Just finished the final touches on our place. We wanted to lean heavily into a moody, sophisticated palette using matte black cabinetry and textured charcoal walls, balanced out by large-format Calacatta marble flooring.

My favorite details are the integrated ambient lighting in the kitchen and that custom circular ceiling feature in the dining room. It’s a bit bold to go this dark, but the natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows keeps it feeling open. Would love to hear your thoughts on the texture play!

Reimagining the modern living room with a focus on scale and texture. This space features a floor-to-ceiling book-matched marble wall, a custom floating glass staircase, and a tiered organic chandelier that anchors the entire room. Modern Minimalism: A closer look at this sculptural cantilever staircase and marble-integrated kitchen.

I’m obsessed with the clean lines in this space. The way the white cantilevered stairs float over that heavy marble base is such a cool contrast. It’s a perfect blend of warm wood textures, light marble, and sharp, modern architecture. What do you think of the glass railing—practical or just for looks?

Interior design services

Exploring the intersection of texture and light. From integrated headboard LEDs to those chrome orb sconces, these spaces prioritize a "quiet luxury" aesthetic. I really love how the neutral palettes allow the architectural lighting to do the heavy lifting. Which lighting setup do you think works best for a bedroom—warm hidden cove lights or statement wall fixtures?

I wanted to share a closer look at this recently completed bedroom project. The goal was to create a "sanctuary" feel using a restricted color palette of creams, warm greys, and charcoal accents.

Key Design Elements:

The Herringbone Flooring: Adds a classic architectural touch that grounds the modern furniture.

Custom Headboard Wall: We went with a dual-tone paneled look with integrated cove lighting to create depth without clutter.

Lighting: Using a mix of soft recessed lights and a statement pendant to keep the atmosphere warm and inviting.

Texture Over Color: Instead of bold colors, we used layered linens and a chunky knit throw to keep the space feeling cozy.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the lighting placement! What do you think about the window seating area?

Just finished documenting this space and wanted to share the highlights. The design leans heavily into organic shapes—specifically the curved bouclé sofa and the sculptural room dividers. Key Design Elements:

Material Palette: Travertine accents, dark oak cabinetry, and light-grey matte wall panels.

Lighting: Integrated cove lighting creates a soft glow without harsh shadows.

The Tea Gallery: Really proud of how the backlit tea-ware display turned out in the kitchen area.

Workspace: A seamless transition from the bedroom into a functional, floating desk setup.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the balance between the cool greys and the warm wood tones!

Quiet Luxury in the Master Bedroom: Integrated Joinery and Stone Details

We focused heavily on seamless integration—custom dark wood paneling with backlit marble accents, and floor-to-ceiling wardrobes that disappear into the walls. The goal was to balance those moody, architectural textures with a soft lounge area by the window. Would love to hear your thoughts on the mixed wood grains and the glass-front display niche!

Spent some time capturing this space today. I’m obsessed with the contrast between the brutalist concrete pillars and the soft boucle seating. The way the natural light hits the stone island in the kitchen vs. the moody, dark-paneled living area creates such a distinct atmosphere.

Finally finished setting up the primary bedroom. I really wanted to lean into the "Creamy" aesthetic with a mix of neutral tones. I’m particularly happy with how the fluted wall paneling and the Flowerpot pendant lights turned out. Let me know what you think
