3 Instagram Recovery Scams You Must Know Before Paying Anyone

Way 1 — The Small Fee First Trap First they say “No upfront payment”. Then suddenly —You just need to pay a small fee for software or server access. That’s the trap. Once you send that money… they disappear. No recovery. No response. Just silence.

Way 2 — Fake Proof & Dashboards They’ll send screenshots showing your account inside some official system. Looks real. Looks technical. Looks scary. But most of the time — it’s just edited screenshots to make you panic and pay.

Way 3 — Fake Urgency Pressure Your account will be deleted in 24 hours. Pay now or it’s gone forever. That pressure is intentional. Because when you panic — you stop thinking. And that’s when people send money without verifying anything.

I’m not saying trust me blindly… I’m saying don’t trust anyone blindly. I’ve seen people lose hundreds of dollars just because they were scared and desperate to get their account back. Losing an account is already stressful… getting scammed after that hurts even more. So take your time. Ask questions. Verify before paying anyone.

Stay smart.😼🧠

Effect of permaban on secondary accounts

I was the latest victim of Meta’s AI when my main account was hit with a false flag SoC violation re: CSE on Sunday night. I have not yet appealed, as I know that will almost definitely result in an immediate permanban. I’ve accepted that my account is pretty much gone, but I wanted to make sure that once my account is permabanned, it doesn’t affect others.

I have the login information for another account saved to my device. It’s not technically linked to my Meta account, if that matters. But this is a group account that several people have access to. As of now, the group account is perfectly fine (no suspension pending), but I know from this subreddit that once my main account is permabanned, the secondary accounts on my device may get hit with an account integrity ban.

If that happens, do the other people who have the login information for the group account saved on their devices have anything to worry about with respect to their personal accounts? If so, will simply deleting the group account from their Instagram accounts before my main account is permebanned protect them from any risk that their personal accounts are hit with account integrity bans? I’ve also considered logging onto the group account using my desktop and a VPN and just deleting it before my main account is permabanned.

If any one has been through a similar experience or any insight/advice, please let me know!

REINSTATED AFTER NEARLY 4 MONTHS OF CSE SUSPENSION!

finally got my account back after my 2nd suspension on false CSE. the first time was actually in Nov (11/12-11/14) which only lasted 2 days, but my second one (12/11-4/6) lasted nearly 4 months. i was pretty confident i lost the account completely but somehow i got it back today at 2:11 am. some methods i tried were meta verified which likely didn't help since the agents said they couldn't do anything and don't waste your money w/ them. also tried reaching out to attorney generals of different states and most of them ignored me or said they couldn't help lmao. also tried emailing but i don't think they even check the emails. there's no "guarantee" which of these methods actually worked but i assume i got it back just for waiting it out.
there is still some anxiety that i have where there could be a chance it will get suspended or worse, permabanned. for now, i won't be logging in right away so i'll just give it a few days.
GL to those who are still trying to get your accounts back and i just wanna say, there is hope!! i'll try to stay active with responses still!

has anyone here actually used userrights to recover their instagram account? does it help at all or is it a scam?

What to do?

This is my main account, and it’s very old. I have many contacts associated with it. The account is private, and I haven’t posted anything on it. My friends and I only shared some porn videos in chats (which were obviously 18+). We did this casually, but suddenly today my account got banned. All the accounts linked with this device were also banned, and I can’t create a new one — those get banned too.

Should I appeal? They’re asking for my government ID, and I’m scared to provide it in this case. I swear I have never in my life seen or sent any child pornography. I’ve only heard about it.

My secret account has survived since November. Am I safe from getting banned again?

In May of 2025 I got suspended and permanently disabled for false CSE reports. My main instagram, Facebook and two other instagram accounts were all gone in the blink of an eye. I successfully created a new Facebook (with a shortened version of my first name) and Instagram shortly after. Three months went by without issue but in September of 2025 after completely rebuilding my Instagram following and profile, it was permanently disabled for being associated with an account that was suspended. My new Facebook was not linked and has had no issues or suspensions since its creation. In November 2025 I switched phone companies and got a new iPhone, and tried again at making a new account. It lasted roughly a week before it was also disabled. I never used my Apple ID to create accounts so I don’t believe that could be linked. Every attempt at making a new instagram account was done by creating/using a different email. As a last ditch effort, I used DuckDuckGo mobile browser at the end of November to create a new profile. This time, no attempt at using my real name, nicknames or the like, and the accounts profile picture is me but from roughly eight years ago at age 19. I’ve made no posts, haven’t shared any stories, it follows less than 10 accounts and I have had pretty minimal activity on it. Is this one safe to try and use regularly? My biggest worry is trying to log into the Instagram app with this account, following my friends and family like the previous accounts did, or posting any pictures that would include me and my face with friends and family. Has anyone else had a successful attempt at rebuilding like this?

general question regarding suspensions! pls help!

  1. for my other accounts, i only appealed once. should i avoid doing the last appeal due to the fact it could permanently suspend the account?

  2. is this a device ban? or an ip ban? is there anyway to bypass this without having to buy a new phone.

  3. if i do buy a new phone, should i not log into any of the old accounts?

  4. people have commented that ip bans dont exist, also said nothing is sophisticated enough to ban someones wifi. could someone explain that? isnt your ip connected to your wifi?

  5. also r/instagram is removing any posts related the the bans, whats up with that??

  6. i have a new number on my current phone, will i have to change my number on my new phone if i get one? will my wifi possibly effect making a new account?

  7. if i get a new phone, will signing into my old icloud put me back in suspension purgatory?

Has anyone successfully made a new account after being disabled?

Hi, just wanted to ask if anyone here has successfully created and kept a new account after their old one got disabled?

Mine was disabled on December 6, and I recently made a new account. I’m honestly really anxious about it getting disabled again, so I’ve been using it only through incognito Chrome.

For context, the account I’m using now is actually an inactive Instagram account that was created back in 2024, and it’s connected to a different email and phone number.

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences or any tips to keep it safe. Tysm!!
