I’ve been thinking about this again and it still doesn’t make sense to me.

Back in early June 2025 when heaps of people got banned, I was one of them. No warning, no proper explanation, appeal got denied straight away and that was it. Account gone.

What annoys me the most is it didn’t even feel like something clear I did wrong. It felt like something that got taken the wrong way or flagged by AI, but there was no chance to explain anything. Just straight to a permanent ban like that’s it, you’re done.

It’s been almost a year now and I don’t get how this isn’t a bigger issue.

What’s even more frustrating is that since June 2025, all I’ve really seen are a few news reports here and there around the world, and some small claims cases. But why is there no big class action or something actually pushing back on what so many of us experienced?

It’s almost been a year and it feels like barely anything has changed. No major updates, no real improvements, nothing big happening.

Like social media isn’t just some random app anymore. It’s how people stay connected, see what everyone’s up to, start conversations, all of that. When it gets taken away like that, it actually feels like you’ve been cut off from a whole part of life.

Some days I don’t care at all. Other days it hits me and I’m like I don’t even know what people I used to follow are doing anymore. Not even close friends, just people you’d normally keep up with through stories.

I just don’t get how there’s still no proper way to talk to a real person about it. And I don’t get why more hasn’t been done about it if so many people were affected.

Did anything actually change after that? Are people still getting banned the same way? And does anyone think there’ll ever be a proper second chance or is that just it?

Right now it just feels like it happened and everyone moved on except the people it actually affected.

Back in October of last year I was Talking to a friend in high-school 11th grade (17M) and right in the middle of doing that they banned my account along with my Facebook that I had since February of 2023. This is out of control how do I get my Instagram to stop banning my account?

My Instagram account was mndoforso20 (created February of last year) and it was linked to my Facebook.

finally got my account back after my 2nd suspension on false CSE. the first time was actually in Nov (11/12-11/14) which only lasted 2 days, but my second one (12/11-4/6) lasted nearly 4 months. i was pretty confident i lost the account completely but somehow i got it back today at 2:11 am. some methods i tried were meta verified which likely didn't help since the agents said they couldn't do anything and don't waste your money w/ them. also tried reaching out to attorney generals of different states and most of them ignored me or said they couldn't help lmao. also tried emailing but i don't think they even check the emails. there's no "guarantee" which of these methods actually worked but i assume i got it back just for waiting it out.
there is still some anxiety that i have where there could be a chance it will get suspended or worse, permabanned. for now, i won't be logging in right away so i'll just give it a few days.

You may have seen my post on here before but here I am again. My channel is dedicated to science. I post original contents taken from my experiments in the lab with the aim to inspire the next generation of scientists. It's all cells and cancer biology. I also committed to be a platform to help students. Over the course of a few months, Instagram's AI keeps suspending my account accusing it of "child abuse", which is the most absurd thing ever. I appealed and got mine back each time but this time, it's been 4 days now and there was no update whatsoever. I'm absolutely distraught because I've spent so much time building it up, and students have reached out and tell me how much they enjoy it, and how much it has helped them. A day or 2 before this suspension, I was in a talk with a high school teacher telling her that I'm more than happy to promote the work that her and her students have done. And I think this was the trigger to their AI.

I'm just so tired of fighting this multibillion corporation that can't even have a decent functioning and accurate AI system that they claim to have. And there is no way for me to even reach a human reviewer, if they even have one in their office anymore. Meta and Instagram just don't seem to care. I'm just an academic who loves science.

esto es hablando desde mi experiencia. fui víctima de la ola de baneos 2 veces, la segunda vez que me banearon yo lo que hice fue hacer otra nueva cuenta en otro celular y con otro correo electrónico y con otro internet esa no la banearon obviamente porque no estaba vinculada con las cuentas anteriores pero al momento de tratar de entrar en mi celular que lo habían baneado pues no pude porque tenía un baneo de dispositivo y de IP. lo que hice después ya que no podía usar esa cuenta fue crear una cuenta después de una semana del baneo después de que la creé prácticamente no la usé durante dos meses. esa cuenta no tenía ni un nombre de usuario similar a mis cuentas anteriores era un nombre bastante random no tenía foto de perfil no tenía seguidos no tenía likes no tenía mensajes no tenía guardados no tenía prácticamente nada no lo sé durante dos meses y si la llegaba a usar era para seguir algunas cuentas pero nada más sí llegué después de esos dos meses a tener una conversaciones con cuentas que tenía en las anteriores cuentas pero era casi nulo después de esos dos meses también banearon esta cuenta diciendo que no cumplía con las normas de la comunidad ahora ya no me dieron una razón específica como de cse o diferentes razones las cuales son muy comunes en esta ola de baneos yo me espanté porque pensé que no podría crear más cuentas pero lo que hice fue darle en apelación eran aproximadamente las 5 de la mañana y la apelación duró más tiempo no fue revisión manual obviamente pero sí duró un poquito más tiempo, creí que esa cuenta también sería baneada permanentemente pero no después de alrededor de 10 minutos mi cuenta fue restaurada y obviamente porque pues no tenía nada que me vinculara con mis otras dos cuentas que habían sido baneadas no tenía likes no tenía fotos no tenía comentarios nada en absoluto y sigo con esa cuenta hasta la fecha al día de hoy no la han baneado lo que sí es que si bien ya tengo likes y ya he publicado mi foto tengo una foto de perfil y tengo un nombre no igual pero sí parecido a los otros dos anteriores no la han baneado no ha tenido restricciones no ha tenido nada por el momento. así que como recomendación para todas esas personas que buscan hacerse nuevas cuentas lo que les lo recomiendo es que se creen otra nueva cuenta pero no la ocupen durante dos meses y lo que yo he hecho es que no me meto a Instagram no veo reels no veo nada si de repente alguien me manda un mensaje lo veo pero después de varios días he estado bastante apartado de Instagram durante estos seis meses en los que he estado baneado por segunda vez y no lo ocupo prácticamente para nada es la única forma en la que no me han baneado de nuevo

hi anyone, i have questions for yall. is there way for free and no cost paid service about instagram account disabled to get account disabled back. like ftc or bbb or attorney general, or lawyer something. today I got few accounts suspended no reason and I have not talk kid or do inappropriate, and all my account was created by me if I created account and I am owner for created new account, and it not fake or impersonation or bot, is there way contact instagram email from Google email. do they respond or no.
