I just got the ‘26 HR-V HEV:X model. I reckon it fits my current needs (I do community visits for work, do a bit of travelling, etc)
My question is: what are the best accessories to purchase aftermarket? Dash cams, ceramic coating?
Im planning to own this car long term. Maybe my forever car if all goes well. Thanks!
2019 HONDA HR-V LX
Like most new owners, I have several questions. I'll start with this one.
I'm trying to figure out the best cell phone holder mount that won't damage or stain the dashboard, figuring a suction mount would be best. Our summers are really hot here in Missouri so if it's anything sticky it's going to melt. I don't want it mounted to the windshield. I also don't want it clipped to the air vent. If you can't tell the dash slants downward. This question probably has been addressed multiple times but I don't know how to search this reddit. TIA.
After years of driving an 06’ Nissan maxima (will NEVER drive Nissan again) and then 9 years of a 2012 Honda Civic Coupe, I’ve upgraded to a 2024 HRV Sport and I am in love!
I got a decent amount off because there’s a small dent in the hood. Anyone have advice on how to get it out through DIY? I also know I need to get the transmission fluid changed ASAP because it’s at 37k miles and it’s never been done. Any other recommendations for making this baby last as long as possible? This will be our family car and I also drive a whopping 70 miles a day with my commute so I want to keep her maintenance up! Thanks!
I just saw a YouTube video that said that Honda was not going to introduce a new generation of the HR-V until 2032. At least our current vehicles will not be eclipsed by a new model anytime soon. No mention of them installing the Civic hybrid power plant in the current vehicles as a mid-cycle refresh. What do you think?
My mother lost one of the two keys she had for her 2017 HRV. I don't know what trim level it is, but I believe it's a base model. It doesn't have a keyless ignition with a Start button. This is the second time she lost one of the keys. The first time she paid Honda like $300 to have them make another one. I'm trying to avoid that again. Is it possible to just have someone cut a copy of the key she has and be able to start the car with just that, without the fob?
been eyeing the EX-L model for a bit finally joined the club!
i swear half the people on this sub must just be super lead footed or something ... i just completed a 100 mile round trip and i averaged 36mpg ! granted thats highway miles, but i seriously see some people getting like 20mpg, what gives ??
forgot to add, im driving a 2019 lx 2wd with 62k miles :P
2018 HRV EX-L AWD w Navi just under 100,000 miles & the R18Z needs a timing chain due to poor maintenance from previous owner currently just sitting lmk what I should do with it- also has pretty sludged up engine &&&&& the CVT fluid has never been done☠️
Love my HRV I added roof rails and some rain deflectors. 2019 Sport AWD. Got this for a future move to a state that actually snows.
I’ve been having issues with my infotainment system in my 2026 HRV EXL, I bought it in Nov brand new. I’ve been given the run around by Honda as they tried to say it’s because I was using Spotify instead of Apple Music and that my car had to be updated to the newest IOS or that I need to use a cable for bluetooth and I’ve attempted all their recommendations but nothing has worked. They finally replaced my system two weeks ago only because the mechanic had similar issues with his android. Even though my system was replaced I still have the same issues of it kicking me out of maps and the screen being black and my music cutting off no matter where I’m at (Honda suspected dead zones but this isn’t true as I drive for work). I recently took it to Honda again and the mechanic said there wasn’t anything they can do as they already replaced it and said that CarPlay is only compatible with android :/ and I was recommended to get an android fix the problem. Has anyone had success with fixing their carplay? Does this constitute a lemon law claim since Honda is refusing to fix it and I’ve attempted 4 times to get it fix?
Anyone else have a 2026 with CarPlay that glitches/crashes near medical facilities? Dealership said they have no solution but having crashing nav and phone calls during my commute is causing issue. About 20 min of my drive is accident prone and I get re routed a lot, but with nav crashing it’s causing problems and making me late. I’ve tried Bluetooth vs cord connect, updating phone software, dealership had it for a day and met with their rep who said there’s no solution.
I am starting to get real frustrated and I’m not sure how long it’ll be till it can be fixed. Curious if anyone has dealt with this and has a plan of action. Thanks!
i have carbon fiber snap on door handle covers from amazon that i absolutely LOVE (inspired by the gloss block door handle covers someone previously posted in here, shoutout to them fr), and i want more little things like that i can do! whether it’s interior or exterior, drop links, brands, or just your favorite things you’ve seen!
im so so so blessed!! i loooove the color and so excited!!
- question- i have the car starter but it doesnt work i did notice when i do try the dashboard has a small blinking red light? is there something i can do to fix the car starter
Has anyone gone from a Sport to EX-L? If so, are you happy with your decision? Considering going from a 2024 Sport to 2026 EX-L.
Ages ago, my key fob was lost. I thought a valet mistakenly walked off with it but no, it’s just lost somewhere in my HRV.
But I cannot find it.
The dealership I take it to for service knows it’s in there, but they can’t figure out where.
What do I do? How do I solve this? I’ve gone through the car like a maniac three times and have come up empty each time. Short of taking the car apart piece by piece or buying an RFID detector that I don’t think will work, what should I do?
Other than the nuts behind the brake pedal, is there another place I can access to connect a ground wire to hardwire my dash cam? The nuts behind the brake pedal have protruding screws that are too long for my sockets to reach the nut.
