Hasselblad X2D II flash trigger issue even just for manual mode

I’m experiencing intermittent hot shoe failures when using manual single-pin triggers. I’ve tested with the Godox X3 and X3Pro (with Legacy Mode enabled), as well as the Godox RT-16, which is a single-pin manual trigger.

The issue occurs inconsistently during normal shooting, with no clear pattern, which makes it extremely frustrating.

What’s even more frustrating is that neither company has provided any meaningful support when I’ve reached out to them, which leaves me without a clear path to resolve the problem.

Has anyone had reliable success with any trigger that works well with Godox flashes on the X2D II? I haven’t come across a dependable solution so far, and I’m honestly starting to consider switching systems because of this.

V100 won’t sync with x3

This issue comes up every so often when all my settings are completely aligned like they always are when it always works, and suddenly it does not sync. I change the power on the transmitter, but doesn’t change the flash and the flash button won’t trigger it. Everything is the same like it always is and it doesn’t flash I do not know what I am doing wrong. I have tried on and off. I have tried syncing. Nothing works. Everything is the same like it always is. What am I doing wrong

Is the Godox iT32 suitable for professional photography?

I’m not massively experienced in flash photography but I’m shopping around for a new speedlite.

I like everything the iT32 has to offer but would it be sufficient for what I need compared to say, a v1 mid.

I don’t shoot too far away from subjects (max a few meters) and shoot mostly run and gun shots of people playing games/ activities - mostly mid shots in darker environments.

Should I stay with IT32 or upgrade to V1 Mid?

I've been using the Godox iT32 and it's fantastic, it's small, portable and gets the job done.
Lately I've been thinking about upgrading to something more powerful and a bit more "future-proof". I mainly shoot street and cars, but recently I've started doing portraits and small events more frequently and I feel like the iT32 might be a bit limiting in terms of power.
Would it make sense to upgrade to the V1 Mid?

Next week I'll be shooting at a Comicon, and I'm considering picking up the V1 Mid to test it side by side with my iT32.

AD300 Pro II Cannot get my device to connect to computer for Godox Firmware Updater

I recently purchased an AD300 Pro II and saw that firmware version 1.05 is available, while mine is currently on version 1.02. I wanted to update it, but I can’t get the upgrade screen to appear on the flash.

I just finished upgrading the firmware on my IT30, which was very simple, so I expected the same process for the AD300 Pro II—but no luck. I’ve tried almost everything. I removed the battery, then pressed and held the power/flash button while plugging in the USB-C cable from my Mac, but the screen remains dark. I also tried holding down the menu button while connecting the USB-C cable, but nothing happens. Finally, I tried holding down the Set button/scroll wheel while connecting the USB-C cable and still no luck.

Has anyone encountered this issue, or am I doing something wrong? Everything else works—the strobe turns on and operates normally—but I can’t get it to connect to my Mac. My IT30 connects just fine.

I would really appreciate any help.

Godox TT685 Thinklite vs a Godox TT685II-S

I am getting a flash for my Sony A7iii -

I recently bought a few tt600 with a x2t trigger which I plan on using for a studio product setup...

...though I would also like a nice TTL style flash for general point and shoot style photography.

I just bought a (v1) Godox TT685 Thinklite for $50, instead of the newer Godox TT685II-S ...

I'm hoping it will be compatible and do a similar job to the updated (v2) - Is that correct?

Thank-you

V100 with X5

Hi everbody, I want to use my Godox V100 off camera and am wondering if I simply can put on the Godox X5 piece on the camera hot shoe to trigger it (without owning a iT32 - I only found tutorials that showed how to trigger the V100 with X5 AND iT32, so I'm a bit confused). Anybody uses that minimal setup? I'm totally fine not having TTL.

Godox Ml100Bi for filming a vlog outdoors?

Is it gonna be enough to just light up my face? What light modifiers should I use that is portable to carry? The Ml100Bi with the reflector itself hurts my eyes without any modifiers. I'll be using the light on a cold shoe. If you have a good setup suggestion for outdoor vlogs, please let me know. Thank you in advance

Ad400 bulb repair, flash tube looks bent

I just received an Open Box Ad400 pro ii, and while testing noticed that the flash tube was decentered in the glass house. Looks like it got slightly bent over. I’ll see what the store can do, but if the only option is to return it, I’m curious if this is something that can be fixed. Looks like I could just reach in and gently bend it back (wearing gloves).

Any thoughts?

Bad timing… I just bought the S85T and now Godox drops the EazyFlow Foldable Softbox

Maaaaan… I picked up the S85T and thought, “this thing is perfect — I just wish it wasn’t flat.”
Then Godox goes and releases the EazyFlow Foldable Softbox.

Now I’m wondering:
Is the EazyFlow actually a big upgrade, or is the difference smaller than it looks on paper?

Anyone here had hands-on time with both?

I want to buy iT30 pro TTL for my Sony a6400, but I am worried about lens shadow.

I am using a sigma 18-50mm f2.8 lens. I feel like the flash might get obstructed by the lens even without the lens hood. Anyone has tried this setup, please let me know if any lens shadow falls on the pictures thanks.

V1Mid & V100 - Remote Zoom Control?

Hi all,

I’m testing some new gear this week and have bought most of the recent Godox stuff for testing.

Is it possible to control the zoom position of remote flashes using a V100 or V1Mid as an on-camera sender? This is possible on the X3Pro (though it’s quite hidden) but I can’t find the feature on the V1Mid and the V100.

I can’t see the setting for the on camera flash, but I’m interested in controlling the zoom for remote/receiver units such as the AD100II Pro.

Thanks! 🙏

Flash recommendations for Panasonic Lumix s1ii?

So I have a wedding + reception to shoot and I want a flash, it has to be TTL and I actually prefer AA batteries over lithium ion. but if the lithium ion option is that much better, I'm open to it.

I used to do a lot of events years ago with my d300s and Nikon Sb-700 flash. so I'm probably looking for something similar to the sb700.

Honestly I don't know a ton about flash, I just know I liked my sb700 and found it was good for what I used it for.

Budget doesn't matter a ton, I was considering the v1pro so that's probably the top of my budget.

Ml100Bi mount not compatible with the ML-GB(bowen's mount)

This is my first ever lighting setup. If I put it on the other side, I can't tilt my light up and down if I put my bowen's mount adapter.

Godox G3 firmware issue - Apple can’t check app for malicious software

Possible malware warning after installing the G3 firmware updater from Godox's website.

I wanted to update the firmware on my V100f from V1.00 to V1.03 but don't want to take any chances of infecting my MacBook with malware.

I just got the flash 2 days ago and haven't had the chance to fully try it out and honestly probably don't need the update. But would love to hear from others if they think the update is really worth it or not and if there is a safe way to update Godox firmware in general as I also have the AD400 pro and AD100pro that I might want to upgrade as well.

Godox mount reflectors for AD400, using the one from the ML60 led light?

Looking for hard-light, narrow beam modifiers for the ad400, and it seems the only two godox mount reflectors available are the AD-R14 and the AD-R12. The 14 looks too wide, and the long throw r12 is too large and still wider, I'd rather go with a Bowens mount cheetah 45 or something at that rate.

I came across these godox mount reflectors in a Markus pix video, but I can't find any info on if they can be bought separately, or if they would work with the ad400 or ad300. Has anyone tried either of them with a strobe?

Does anyone else have a solution for a lightweight modifier that would give a 25 degree beam or tighter? Maybe a small Fresnel?
