Day 2 of 7: Student volunteer trying to raise ₹1,000 for Menstrual Hygiene (She Can Foundation)

She Can

Hi everyone,

I am a student currently volunteering for a short 7-day internship campaign with the She Can Foundation (shecanfoundation.org). We work toward women's empowerment, education, and distributing menstrual hygiene kits to girls.

My personal volunteer goal is to raise a small pool of minimum ₹1,000 by the end of the week. Because I am highly uncomfortable asking my own friends and relatives for money, I am reaching out to this supportive online community.

I have attached the foundation's official government registration certificate to this post so you know this is 100% legitimate.

If 10 kind people could spare just ₹100 each (or even ₹50—the price of a cup of tea), it would immensely help me cross the finish line for my internship requirements.

You can donate directly through their secure official NGO page:

👉 shecanfoundation.org

📌 Important for my tracking: Please type "Abhilasa Kulkarni" in the referral column during the payment checkout process so the NGO logs my volunteer credits correctly.

If you do donate, please DM me and share screenshot so I can keep track of my progress. Thank you so much for your time, empathy, and kindness! 🌷💛

Trying to grow my community safety program

Hi everyone. I run a small startup community‑focused safety training program in South Florida called L&S Vital Training & Consulting. My goal is simple:

teach everyday people how to save lives.

I provide hands‑only CPR, Narcan/overdose response training, Stop the Bleed, and basic emergency readiness classes for families, youth groups, churches, and underserved communities. A lot of the people who need this training the most can’t afford it, so I’ve been offering free or low‑cost classes whenever possible.

Right now, I’m trying to grow the program, but I’m limited by equipment. CPR manikins, AED trainers, Narcan demo kits, and bleeding‑control supplies are expensive, and I’ve been covering everything out of pocket.

I created a GoFundMe to help with equipment costs so I can continue offering free community classes. Even $5 genuinely helps. Sharing the link also helps a lot.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate this community more than you know.

I’m Completely Bedridden last 16 years and Running Out of Time — Please Help Me Walk Again 🙏

Hello Reddit Family,

I never thought I would have to write something like this, but today I have no other option.

My name is Bijoy Bhowmick, and I am currently completely bedridden, fighting severe knee arthritis and mobility loss for years.

I am reaching out here because many patients like me depend on advanced treatment and rehabilitation support available in cities like Delhi, and I am trying to gather the resources needed to access proper care and stand on my feet again.

Over the past few years, my condition has worsened significantly.

I have already undergone:

Right knee replacement surgery

Hip replacement surgery

But unfortunately, my mobility has not returned.

Now, doctors have advised that I urgently need a left knee replacement surgery to regain the ability to stand and walk again.

Along with the surgery, my treatment also requires:

• 💉 Biologic injections every 15 days

• 🧑‍⚕️ Intensive physiotherapy multiple times daily

These are essential for recovery, not optional.

Fundraiser Details:

Goal: ₹29,56,000

Raised so far: ₹3,64,895

Still Needed: ₹25,91,105

Total Donors: 318

Donation Link:-https://www.impactguru.com/s/RInxka

Verification Documents:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WEmrH\_R432wyZ89RmWM-GxeYm9z8iS15

Unfortunately, the total cost of my treatment and recovery is far beyond what my family can afford.

My brother is the only earning member, working as a salesperson, and he also supports our elderly parents. Despite our best efforts, arranging such a large amount is simply not possible for us.

🙏 Even a small contribution or simply sharing this post can make a huge difference.

Your support can help me get the treatment I urgently need and give me a chance to walk again.

❤️ Please consider donating or sharing:

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your kindness truly means everything to me.

Warm regards,

Gofundme family of 7

I know you probably won’t see this. My name is Linda. My husband’s and I have 5 children together. (M10), (M8), (F6), (M3) and (F8 months). My husband had a work accident back in November 2025, he had fallen on his back from 6 feet off the ground. He was a temp at a warehouse, after the accident he had to go do his follow-up appointments after the severe fall. His employer fired him due to him being out for multiple doctor visits. He never had medical insurance at the time of the accident and due to the new qualifications to get government insurance, he is not eligible for the medical coverage. So we have a lot of medical expenses. Also I had just given birth to our youngest daughter born September 2025. Since he got into the accident and got let go, I’ve been applying to hundreds of jobs and I haven’t heard back from anyone. We’ve already spent what little savings we’ve had and we ran out in March 2026. Due to not having an income, we haven’t been able to pay our essential expenses like Shelter (our apartment), utilities and cell phone. We are currently behind 2 months almost 3 months thus coming June 2026. I’m in fear that my children and I will become homeless. I have until the end of May 2026 to gather the funds for our overdue rent. It got so bad that we had to return our family car and borrow my father’s vehicle whenever he lets us. I writting this out of desperation that someone out there can help, if that means just sharing our gofundme would mean the world for us. I know you don’t owe anyone anything. I’m just humbly asking if you could possibly share our gofundme it would be you greatly appreciated.

Luna stomach torsion surgery

Hi,

We're asking for help to pay for our lill Luna surgery.

Luna is 3 years old and has a stomach torsion. This is an emergency condition that requires immediate surgery, without which the dog is doomed to death.

The cost of the surgery and hospitalization is almost 7,000 złoty. Luna survived the surgery, and an additional stomach reattachment was performed to reduce the chance of a recurrence. She is currently being kept in the hospital for observation. We're asking for help to pay for the procedure that saved her life.

The donation page is in Polish because we live in Poland. However, donations from abroad are possible.

Donate to Loveneet Kaur’s wedding, organized by Loveneet Kaur

Hi everyone,
I’m a 28-year-old Indian woman living in Australia, working full-time as a chef. On 04/11/2026, I’ll be marrying the love of my life (29M) after being together for the last 5.5 years.
Our journey hasn’t been easy. My dad passed away from cancer in 2008, and after that my mum worked incredibly hard to support me, my older sister, and my younger brother all on her own. She has always done everything she could for us, and I will forever be grateful for her strength and sacrifices.
Because of my strict upbringing and cultural expectations, it took us years to convince my side of the family to accept our relationship. Since ours is not an arranged marriage, which is still very common in Indian culture, we haven’t received much financial support for the wedding. After many difficult conversations, my family finally agreed to let us get married, and that alone means the world to us.
My partner and I are trying our absolute best to pay for our wedding ourselves while also managing rent, bills, and everyday expenses. My mum is helping where she can, but weddings are incredibly expensive, and we are struggling to create the special day we’ve always dreamed of.
I never imagined I would come online asking strangers for help, and honestly, I feel embarrassed because I know there are people facing much harder situations in life. But I’m trying to stay hopeful and ask for support with an open and honest heart. Even the smallest contribution would mean so much to us.
I also struggle with anxiety, depression, and overthinking, which has made this journey emotionally overwhelming at times. Still, I truly hope that one day I’ll be in a position to help others the same way I’m asking for help today.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. I sincerely appreciate any support, kindness, or even sharing this post. Wishing love, happiness, and blessings to everyone reading this. 🤍

Fundraising x

Hi everyone, I hope this is okay to post. ❤️

I’m secretly trying to raise money to help my boyfriend get top surgery. He’s struggled for years with gender dysphoria and this surgery would genuinely change his life.

Sadly, he also suffers badly with Crohn’s disease and physically can’t work because of how severe it is, so saving up himself has been almost impossible.

He’s one of the kindest people I know and deserves the chance to finally feel comfortable in his own body. I’m just trying to help him get closer to that goal.

If anyone is able to donate absolutely anything, no matter how small, or even just share this post, it would mean the world to us. Thank you so much.

Got into CHRIST University for Clinical Psychology but can't afford it after my mom's cancer treatment wiped out our savings — any help means the world

hey reddit 👋

I'm Bhaviska Mendonca, 22, from Navi Mumbai. I just got selected for an M.Sc in Clinical Psychology at CHRIST (Deemed to be a University)—one of the best programs for this field in India. And I'm terrified I won't be able to go.

The last few years have been rough. My mom was diagnosed with cancer, and as a family we did what any family does—we fought it with everything we had. That meant debt. A lot of it. The kind that doesn't just disappear when the treatment ends. Education loans aren't really an option for us right now because of our financial history coming out of that period, and I don't have savings to fall back on.

But here's why I can't let this opportunity go —

I want to work with people who are struggling. Not the easy cases. The ones society looks away from—people dealing with severe mental illness, trauma, addiction, and grief. I know what it feels like to watch someone you love suffer and feel powerless. That experience didn't break me; it gave me a lens. And I want to spend my career using it.

Clinical Psychology in India is still fighting stigma every single day. The people who train for this—who have the depth and the rigor to sit with someone in their darkest moments and not flinch—I have so much respect for them. I want to be one of them.

I'm not asking for a handout. I'm asking for a chance.

If even a small amount from enough people comes through, I can confirm my seat and start this journey. Every rupee genuinely counts. Please do send me a DM so i could share my account details!

If you can't donate, sharing this costs nothing and means everything. Thank you for reading this far. 🤍

Asking for help during one of the hardest seasons of my life

I never thought I would be making a post asking strangers for help, but life has honestly hit me all at once and I don’t know what else to do.

Over the last few months, my car was totaled in an accident that was not my fault, and while trying to recover from that, I found out I have a major water leak at my house. My water bill has skyrocketed, and now the city says I have until 5/14/26 to get it fixed or I could face fines and possible water shutoff. The repair cost is far beyond what I can afford right now.

At the same time, I’m trying to support my child through a traumatic situation that has required therapy and emotional support. As a parent, seeing your child hurting while also trying to keep everything together financially and emotionally is one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced.

I’ve looked into loans and cash advances, but most of them seem extremely predatory and would honestly make things even worse long term. I’ve always been independent and tried to handle everything myself, so asking for help is incredibly difficult for me. I have tried my home insurance but they have denied me.

But one thing I’m learning is that asking for help during a crisis does not mean you failed. Sometimes life becomes heavier than one person can carry alone.

If anyone is able to donate, share my GoFundMe, or even just keep my family in your prayers, I would truly appreciate it more than you know. Thank you for reading.
