Beware of sticker on expiry labels. It might be expired

As a long time follower of this group I was skeptical when I bought a creatine jar with good discount and it had a sticker on the mrp and expiry label area. I peeled it off and lo and behold it had expired last month already ( 03/2026). It was very dim I had to shine light on it and look closely to notice. I complained and they took a return for it

Also additionally I bought a whiteboard. They sent wrong dimension. I applied for exchange. Wrong again. Finally refund.

Overall 4 zomato rider trips wasted and I was stuck at home to wait for exchanges and refunds to ultimately get nothing.

Extremely Poor Quality & Zero Accountability – Zepto

This has easily been one of the most frustrating grocery experiences I’ve had.

I’ve ordered musk melons from Zepto four separate times, and every single time the quality has been unacceptable. Out of 8 melons delivered, all were raw, tasteless, and clearly not ready for consumption. You don’t need to be an expert to know when fruit is being shipped without any quality checks.

What makes this worse is the complete lack of accountability. I reached out to customer support multiple times, and instead of resolving the issue, I was given a ridiculous response blaming me for sharing the OTP with the delivery box. How does that even relate to receiving inedible fruit? The problem is product quality, not delivery confirmation.

There has been no meaningful resolution, no ownership, and no effort to fix a recurring issue. It feels like once the order is marked delivered, the customer is on their own—no matter how poor the product is.

If Zepto cannot ensure basic quality checks for fresh produce, they shouldn’t be selling it at all.

Bottom line:
Unreliable quality, poor customer support, and zero accountability. I would strongly advise others to avoid ordering fruits from Zepto until they fix their supply chain and support systems.

Zepto cafe

For the first time, I had ordered from Zepto cafe because I had exam the next day and I needed to sleep early for it. I ordered ahead of time around 6 pm. Everything seemed fine till the delivery driver kept going back to the warehouse, he’ll go one straight line and then come back, he’ll go one line and then comeback, and suddenly it said “high demand” and I really tried to be patient but my pg closes early and I can’t just come out like that even for food. So I contacted the chat box to cancel the order but they didn’t seem to understand and so I had to take action in my own hands 💔it was already around 7:50 and then it turned 8 and my pg would close. After talking to the customer support team, they cancelled the order, and so I was relieved and went back to studying, then I see again, “arrived at location” all of a sudden and he started calling me again and again, and so i picked up and said “I had cancelled the order” and then he said ok and then cut the call. But then again and again I got calls. I’ve never been this annoyed at a food delivery app before.

Zepto took my ₹1000 deposit and ghosted me 🤡

So I worked as a Zepto rider about a year ago. Paid ₹1000 as a security deposit.

Fast forward to now, still no refund.

Raised a ticket → they marked it “RESOLVED” and sent me a farewell speech like I just retired after 20 years of service 💀

“Thank you for your contribution… we appreciate you…”

BRO WHERE IS MY MONEY???

No proper process for ID deactivation. No clear refund system.

I even visited the Zepto store 4 TIMES — nobody has a clue how security deposit refunds work.

When Zepto sends payouts, they update via SMS/WhatsApp.

But for deposits? Complete silence. No update. Nothing.

₹1000 might not be huge for them, but for a student it matters.

Anyone else faced this?

How did you actually get your deposit back, or is this just gone?

opinion on everyone who hates zepto

if you know that they are misleading then stop using zepto everyday, but you will still use because it usually has more discounts, either stop using or stop the randi rona, cant do both

Zepto is back with it’s dark patterns

Got this weighing machine, where the readings are inaccurate.

Wanted to exchange it, but Zepto asks me to come back after 30 mins, citing “high demand”. Why the fuck? There was there no “high demand” while placing the order. Even if a delivery partner isn’t available, take the exchange request and deliver it after 1 hour. They just want to shoo away the customer and hope they don’t remember to exchange it after 30 mins.

I won this coupon in a game over zepto but when I'm trying to redeem it ... It's showing your cart is not eligible.. and instead of 75% discount a coupon with 30% discount is getting auto applied

Worked at a Zepto dark store as a flex worker… and this is what I got 🤡

So I tried working at a Zepto dark store thinking I’d at least make something decent this summer.

Reality? Absolute joke.

First thing — they don’t even give flex workers an HHD device (the barcode scanner). So what happens? I have to use my own personal phone to scan every item. My battery, my data, my device… just to earn below minimum wage.

And when scanning doesn’t work? The supervisor casually tells me to manually type 8–10 digit barcodes for like 15 SKUs. Imagine standing there entering long numeric codes again and again while orders pile up. It’s not just inefficient, it’s straight up disrespectful.

Also noticed clear discrimination — full-time workers get proper devices, smoother workflow. Flex workers? You’re basically treated like disposable labor. Never even got to use the actual scanner once.

After 2 hours of work → ₹50.

₹50.

For draining my phone, my time, and my sanity.

I’m not even here expecting luxury, just basic tools to do the job. If the company can’t provide that, why even hire?

Honestly feels like they’re outsourcing operational costs onto workers themselves.

Anyone else faced this? Or is this just how Zepto runs everywhere?

At this point I just needed some money to start investing early, but this ain’t it.

TL;DR:

No scanner → forced to use personal phone

Manual barcode entry like it’s 2005

Flex workers treated worse than full-time

₹50 for 2 hours

Never again. At this point I would work as a majdoor better

Zepto is shit....

Trying to order something from zepto for the last 3-4 hours , showing too much demand so we are unable to process it right now. So the option is gone from the last 4 hrs then what orders they are processing and who is ordering? I didn't even get the chance to order for a blink of time.
