Can't wait to see it all stretched out!!! And I've got some absolutely gems for monday 👀, got a special gift from my mom (very rare orchid) and got myself something similar to what I've been trying to get 😉
1-2 - Alocasia venom
3 - Monstera burle marx flame, 4 holes!
4 - Anthurium veitchii, but damaged, but it's a size up :)
5-6 - Anthurium pallidiflorum, seems like although the lower part remains attached, it won't expand as much as it would have. When it just broke it was almost half of the leaf. As you can see it's a much smaller percentage of the total leaf area now. Ahhh mourning what could have been a HUGE leaf. Although the next one will probably be even better 😍
7 - Alocasia ninja (big plant), leaf behind it (cuprea) was attacked by aphids lol
Although a bit deformed, it's still super cute! Cypripedium alaskanum is a naturally occurring hybrid of guttatum x yatabeanum. As the name suggests it can be found in Alaska (and Canada), although this one lives in my garden in Europe 😁. It's a very small cypripedium, the flower is maybe 3 cm high. It will likely multiply (underground, they have spreading rhizomes) and give me more flowers next year, hopefully not deformed!
1-3) Begonia Pink Minx. One of the newest in my collection and already in my top tier!! I’ve wanted one for SOOOOOOOOOOO long!! I am so blessed to have her!! The kindness of a friend brought us together and I’ll cherish her always!!
4-6) Hoya Sarawak!! GUYS!! LOOK AT HER!!! SHES DOING IT!!! I had wanted a Sarawak for so long and I’m so thrilled she’s taken off!!
7-9) Syngonium Batik. This little baby just makes me so happy! He’s such a cutie pie and I love watching him grow! These little side shoots give me so much joy!
Hoya Macrophylla Snow Queen. This is one of the newer Hoya in my collection! Definitely one of my newer cuttings! I was shocked at how quickly this Hoya started to grow! I believe I’ve only had it a month or two! I’m very excited to see how it comes in and gardens off!!
Raphidaphora Tetrasperma. This poor baby. I’ve had it for a couple years now. For the longest time it was happy and vibing! I decided to prop it and it did decently enough. Then the move in January…yeah it didn’t appreciate that. I was worried for a moment I may have lost it. I am so excited to see it starting to come back to me!!
Philo Gloriosum. This bay was working on the larger pair of leaf buds back in January. The move REALLY threw this girl. As you can see, she lost all her old foliage. I’m really hopeful that the old leaves will open even if only partially! The new baby spike is giving me hope though!! I might prop the main vine but I’m not sure yet!
I know this group pretty well and I know there are a ton of us that have so many plant babies so I thought I’d start here. Just a general question.
I just moved and the water here is so chlorinated I can smell it from the faucet 🤮. I’d like to figure out a way to treat this water…if possible…or I’ll have to buy distilled water for my plants and I have a ton of them. So it’s gonna cost me!!
I’ve seen so many conditioners that claim to remove chlorine and the other harsh chemicals. Has anyone used them? If so do they work?
Apparently it can be “rare” or “uncommon” for a Caladium to flower. And a lot of people pinch off the blooms so that the plant concentrates on foliage. I did not-I think she is BEAUTIFUL! 🤩
*Caladium ‘Pink Splash’
*Lives outdoors in zone 8b, in my DIY chonky soil-less mix.
Look at this beauty! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw those two little holes! 🤩
I’m not over the moon with their condition. Nothing dead, but more mechanical damage than I like to see. I always expect some. But very healthy and overall I’m pleased with what I paid so win. All in new soil if not a new pot.
Top row left to right.
Echeveria The Rose
Crassula capitella Campfire
Peperomia dolabriformis
Senecio kleinformis , Spearhead
Bottom row
Mesembryanthemum cordifolium Crystal
Lapidaria margaretae Karoo Rose
Crassula rupestris ssp. commutata Tom Thumb
Crassula capitella ssp. thysiflora Pagoda Village
Sometimes, okay all the times, I get so excited with the birth of every new leaf baby. It seems like with every new leaf, I fall more and more in awe with my plant babies!
*Alocasia Odora Albo
*Grown in a no-drainage set up in my chonky soil-less mix with a layer of Leca at the bottom. Using a super fancy upcycled quart sized pickle container from Aldi. 💅💁🏻♀️🤣
I have been waiting 700 years to be able to share this on Newest Monday! …Okay, not really as this baby just arrived on Thursday but I’ve been dreaming of her for years!!! 😍😍😍
*Alocasia Brancifolia Albo
*Just transferred yesterday into a self-watering with wick set up in a stratum/perlite mix for acclimating to my environment. And she already has some little baby corms forming!
1 - Alocasia venom
2 - my poor damaged Anthurium pallidiflorum emergent
Also got some seedlings emerging from their seeds:

6 - Monstera burle marx flame
7 - my biiiiiig white yellow phalaenopsis
8 - baby Alocasia ninja
9 - Anthurium veitchii
1-2) Begonia NOID. I got it as a fallen cutting YEARS ago from a shop that sadly closed. I used to think she was a Sophie but I no longer believe that’s the case. Regardless, she’s FINALLY doing we for me!! She’s been working on this little cutie for a bit now! I love my cane begonias!!
3-the rest (lol)) my apple blossom’s blossoms lol! I can’t believe I got so much to have 2 spikes and not only that but 4 blooms per!! He’s too shimmery for me to not take pix almost any time in nearby!
