Eos personal training misled recurring contact

Hello everyone

Does anyone has or had same experience with eos ?

They misled me signed up a recurring PT contract, over $1200 . And I don’t even know I signed up this contract .
And I went in ask to cancel and get refund, the only words from them is “well you signed up”

I don’t even know this contract existed and I have never used any of the sessions .
Pisses me off

If you had experienced this situation, what should I do ?

Just joined, as expected.

So just joined to my local eos. I was a member a few years ago but went to a different option because of how busy it was. I go after work usually between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. I'm very distressed about the lack of care the other members take in the gym. Weights are left on machines and bars. 20 somethings are running around staring at their phone the entire time. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit more discipline imposed but I understand the crowd that populates a gym. Just want to rant

Just found out about this place and have a question about the screening-cardio room

I'll preface this as "wishful thinking" but, if you're someone that trains EARLY every day (like say, 5am), would it be possible for the employees to play a movie of your choice? It doesn't even have to be the entire movie, as I don't do cardio for more than 45 minutes anyway. If there's anything I love doing just as much as exercise, it's going to the theater to see classic films. Since this place sounds like it's literally the "best of both worlds" for a guy like me, I'm really excited to check it out.

I am starting to take my health seriously because of my physical health issues. I have an eos near me. Is there anything I could say to reduce my annual fee of $60? I work in healthcare and just wanted a basic plan, but affordable for me while paying my monthly bills.

Anyone have any experience signing up for an EOS membership via their fitness benefit account like Tivity Health? Once you sign up for the gym online, do you have to complete any administrative tasks in-gym? Or do you immediately get access to a scan-in barcode and can start using the gym?

Hey everyone—trying to figure out if this is happening to others.

I was recently charged by EōS Fitness even though I never signed up with them. When I called, they told me it’s because they acquired Gold’s Gym locations and that I show as an “active member” in their system.

The issue is:

  • I haven’t had a Gold’s Gym membership in 8 years
  • I never reactivated anything
  • I never signed a new agreement with EōS
  • Yet I’m being billed like I have an active membership

I’ve already:

  • Contacted them and asked for proof of a current contract (none provided yet)
  • Started disputing the charges with my bank

I’m trying to understand:

  • Has anyone else been charged after the Gold’s → EōS transition without re-signing?
  • Were you able to get it resolved/refunded?
  • Did they provide proof of a valid agreement?

If you’ve experienced something similar, would really appreciate hearing how it played out. Feels like this might be a broader issue with how old accounts were handled during the transition.

EOS Fitness is a minimum viable service (MVS) that has so much going on, its hard to begin but let's face it:

  • The district managers do not have a number to corporate - its like they exist in the ether
  • The gyms do not get notified of anything, contractors just show up with a work order to replace entire systems and the staff don't even know why
  • The marketing emails are all written by a bot
  • EOS signs you up for unrelated services (EGYM) despite not being in the original agreement but don't worry, this doesn't violate the contract because its considered and 'infrastructure upgrade'
  • Want to talk to a human? There's a phone number for automated cancellation. They won't even try to talk you out of it or help you, nope, just cancel
  • Want to chat? You guessed it - it's just a bot. You get to talk to CoachE! Want a human? Don't worry, it will refer you to the Contact Us form where you can submit your info.
  • Can you guess who immediately responds to that email? Thats right - CoachE!

You can't make this stuff up. CEO Rich Drengberg should be ashamed of himself in what he's let this become. When he sold out to private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners with CEO Chuck Esserman and president Jamie O’Hara, it really makes you realize PE really is the future.

Everything you like, want, or simply need is going to be owned by people looking to squeeze every dollar for the lowest possible cost. MVS is truly the way forward for all companies, and the differentiator of caring about the customer is gone. Soon it will be simply allowing customers to even speak to a human.
