Hey everyone—trying to figure out if this is happening to others.
I was recently charged by EōS Fitness even though I never signed up with them. When I called, they told me it’s because they acquired Gold’s Gym locations and that I show as an “active member” in their system.
The issue is:
- I haven’t had a Gold’s Gym membership in 8 years
- I never reactivated anything
- I never signed a new agreement with EōS
- Yet I’m being billed like I have an active membership
I’ve already:
- Contacted them and asked for proof of a current contract (none provided yet)
- Started disputing the charges with my bank
I’m trying to understand:
- Has anyone else been charged after the Gold’s → EōS transition without re-signing?
- Were you able to get it resolved/refunded?
- Did they provide proof of a valid agreement?
If you’ve experienced something similar, would really appreciate hearing how it played out. Feels like this might be a broader issue with how old accounts were handled during the transition.
