For the constant brewers, how many and what are you currently brewing? ...and maybe why so many?

Inspired by an exchange in a thread in another r/.

How many brews are ongoing for you at any given time? I have two groups of brews, one that I am quite certain I want to build and have already starting to collect/collate cards. Another in the *theory crafting* stage, unsure if I can/will build and it's kind of in the brainstorming, feasibility, theme/mechanics search, etc.

In the making:

- [[Edward Kenway]] attempting to focus on vehicles with pirates/assassins as support.

- [[Kroxa and Kunoros]] Gods and Titans(giants) graveyard matters/reanimator.

- [[Bruse Tarl, Roving Rancher]]+[[Bonny Pall Clearcutter]] Valentines-Pride-all-legendaries-have-partner oxen deck w/ranching/farming/frontier themes.

- [[Niv Mizzet Guildpact]] gates + double-colour-kindred. Currently stalled.

Theory crafting:

- lorehold tokens aggro (Jolly Balloon man or Arabella in mind).

- [[Nikya of the Old Ways]] creatures-only.

- Mono-red tokens inspired by [[Rionya, Fire Dancer]] plus possible rotating/backup commanders of [[Zuko, Avatar Hunter]] and still looking for 1-2 more rotating commanders, considering [[General Kreat]], [[General Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink]]; with cards like [[Rite of the Raging Storm]] in mind.

- Long-term theory crafting [[Colfenor, the Last Yew]] for family memorial reasons.

Why so many?

I have ADHD and need almost-constant mental stimulation to keep boredom away.

I keep many decks around as I host commander nights with friends who are just starting or they don't have their own decks/cards.

What are the most chaotic cards I could add?

Playing this Yusri Deck, feel like I manage to get out Krark's Thumb or Edgar, King of Figaro pretty constantly. Once I can draw for five and play free spells I want to really have fun with it, what are some recs for something like that? The less played, the better.

Can I get a bracket check on my Jasmine deck? Aimed for B2.

Just wanted some opinions on this deck. I played it twice so far in B2 webcam games. First game Iost. Second game I had Jasmine removed, but drew into Ruxa and was able to swing at someone for about 14 damage on turn 6 with a 4/3 and a 10/7 whiptail wurm. Everyone was at around 37 life. Two people scooped at this point and said my deck was WAY to strong for B2 and I needed to reevaluate my deck.

I built it around $20 budget for B2. I don't honestly think it can hang in b3 and it didn't feel that strong. Just wanted a sanity check to see if the two people were over reacting or if I undersold my deck.

Junji The Immortal - Help Choose a Direction

Hi Folks,

I recently had [[Junji, the Midnight Sky]] catch my eye as I usually play decks that really want their commander alive. Junji however goes against this and seems like he wants to die which seems like a refreshing change.

So far the idea is to abuse [[Supernatural Stamina]] type effects as combat tricks or in combination with sac outlets to accrue value using the bottom option of his text and using the top half if I don't have any good targets in a graveyard.

Through some scryfalling I found a suite of sac outlets that care about the CMC or power of the card being sacrificed like [[Ghoulcaller Gisa]], [[Disciple of Bolas]] & [[Soldevi Adnate]] which seem to pair quite nicely with our dragon friend given his 5 CMC 5/5 stat line.

The cards that care about power seem to have additional synergy with Supernatural Stamina as it not only lets me keep Junji and use his LTB but it boosts his power further granting additional value.

Some potential win cons for the deck seem to be things like [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]], [[Syr Konrad, the Grim]] and hitting people in the face with a 5/5 menace flyer.

Where I am hung up is I am not sure how to continue. I feel like the deck is going in a Reanimator direction with an sacrifice/power matters sub-theme but how am I filling the yard to cheat in my fatties? My concern with Mill is I end up milling my reanimation cards or my undying cards with limited ways to get them back.

Other thoughts I have had are going mono-black artifacts with stuff like [[Triplicate Titan]] & [[Noxious Gearhulk]] as I don't have any artifact decks yet and repeating ETB or LTB effects from the aforementioned 2 creatures sounds fun and both have great synergy with the power/cmc matters sac outlets.

For some additional context:

- I play with a regular pod in 3-4 man games.

- We typically play High Bracket 2 - Mid Bracket 3 with the occasional game changer floating around.

- Combo decks are borderline non-existent in the pod.

- I like to keep my decks budget conscious, all 4 of my current decks range from $170 - $300 CAD.

Deck Link (not fleshed out yet, just have the core package and cards to consider): https://archidekt.com/decks/21780246/wish_upon_a_shenron

I'd love to hear any and all thoughts on the direction you would take the deck or if you have any card suggestions.

I'd also very much so like to hear about any experiences you have had playing Mono-black artifacts as that does seem quite appealing to me.

Raffine Tempo Combo Help - Looking to power up to bracket 4

Hi,

I have been working on a Raffine deck for a while as Esper is my favourite colour combo and I was drawn to the idea that she can enable my deck to be a pseudo toolbox by sculpting my hand and keeping stuff to pull from the graveyard.

Decklist: https://archidekt.com/decks/21158390/raffine_control_toolbox

I've specifically wanted to build this deck to be higher power, closing out a game around turn 6 or so. The plan is the usual one - attack with cheap, evasive creatures, and animate big bombs to help support closing the game.

The deck can reliably kill someone by turn 4 on average, but I am finding that it's lacking the ability to finish off the rest of the table quickly, and I feel like this is something that could be solved by a combo. My deck primarily wins via combat, while holding onto instant speed interaction to protect my board.

I would love to know any ideas or opinions on how to take this deck further with some combos that can finish off the table quickly - ideally something that can leverage the amount of drawing, discarding, and graveyard interaction I am doing.

Current Main Wincons:

- Connive [[Chasm Skulker]] for several turns, destroy it, and then reanimate [[Moonshaker Cavalry]] or [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite]] for a big swing out (also works with any of the other token generators in this deck such as [[Toxrill]])

- [[Blighted Agent]], [[Inkmoth Nexus]], or [[Tainted Strike]] another connive target for lethal

- [[Magister Sphinx]] to knock someone down and finish them off (helps to copy them with [[Silent Hallcreeper]] or [[Glasspool Mimic]])

- Beat face after accumulating value with any of the evasive connive targets

I can’t figure out this deck

https://moxfield.com/decks/wjtGda\_kTE6JHs5tYNNz5Q

I’m trying to make an aristocrats version of Dina that focuses mostly on her first ability but it’s too inconsistent. I want to avoid game changers and no tutors (although I am considering Emeritus of Woe and Dina’s Guidance since they are thematic)

Primo Copies

I'm building [[Primo, the Unbounded]] and am looking at other Moxfield decks and don't understand why some decks are putting in multiple copy spells?

I understand cards like [[Nanogene Conversion]], where you make all of your current creatures copies of Primo and as long as they already have +1/+1's on them they're fine.

However, I'm seeing a lot of [[Quantum Misalignment]] [[Irenicus's Vile Duplication]] and [[Auton Soldier]] type cards. All of those copies are going to die when they copy Primo -- so what am I missing?

I think the only workaround I found was potentially [[Arlinn, Voice of the Pack]]?

Looking for ways to make a Warp-Strike deck work

Hi everyone,

I would like to have some feedback on my Noctis, Heir Apparent deck.

The plan is to have Noctis hitting opponents with Warp-Strike, using big Equipment to push damage and pressure the table through commander damage. Ideally, the deck should be able to kill through commander damage before turn 10, and maybe around turn 6 with a very strong start.

Here's the list:

https://moxfield.com/decks/b4kXWJsh7Ea-22NKdgLo5w

The ideal curve looks something like this:

  • Turn 1: land
  • Turn 2: land + ramp
  • Turn 3: land + Equipment or another ramp piece
  • Turn 4: land, cast Noctis, and have 3 mana available to activate Warp-Strike and equip what is already on board

The deck's engine is built around:

  • Enablers: Equipment tutors, Training Grounds, and cards that make equip costs cheaper, free, or usable at instant speed
  • Payoffs: big Equipment and effects that reward Noctis for connecting
  • Synergy/enhancers: especially cards that give double strike to help push lethal commander damage
  • Interaction: currently 6 counterspells**, 4** spot removals, and 2 symmetrical board wipes
  • Draw: engines that keep cards flowing so the deck does not stall
  • Ramp: mostly the cheapest options possible, plus Ring of the Lucii for flavor

What worries me is that the deck feels slow and the strategy feels fragile. I am wondering whether there is a better and faster way to build it, or whether leaning more into a control shell makes sense, especially since Noctis can potentially survive symmetrical wipes by activating Warp-Strike in response.

So the main things I would love feedback on are:

  • how to make the deck faster
  • how to make the plan more resilient
  • whether the control angle makes sense
  • possible cuts or additions
  • better ways to help Noctis close games through commander damage

Thanks in advance for any help.

Need help with this ratadrabik deck

https://moxfield.com/decks/7e8spODnXES57V4TOycx9g

Need some advice on cuts that i can make as well as some interesting additions. Trying to get closer to 30 lands minimum 28 not including Mdfc. Need at least 2 cuts. This is NOT aristocrats. My strat here is to abuse Ratadrabiks ability to create non legend copies of legendary creatures that have strong effects. Id rather not play aristocrats. This is for mid to high power casual format. Not cEDH.

If you know of some cool combos i can do im open to suggestions.

RIP to Commanders I just couldn't make work 😔

Are there any Commanders you just had to give up on?

u/Beneficial_Pin5295 — 3 days ago

I want to win the game by just wheeling my opponents into the dirt.

https://moxfield.com/decks/IorO9ON3oUairuxlyinIRg

Theres the deck so far. Im pretty set in Izzet, and the commander. But just forcing my opponents to lose their carefully crafted plans to a wheel sounds so funny. What can I add to make this more streamline? Aiming for Bracket 2 or 3.

Bruna self mill

I want to try and build this voltron aura thing. Milling myself with [[Traumatize]] effects. Are there any cards or combos I can use to return the lands I mill to hand or field? Pretty much everything I can find is in green.

Need help with a thematic Orzhov deck

https://moxfield.com/decks/FEcvTtMkG0qSZfprYwuclA

Hello recently I made a post requesting suggestions for this deck I've been working on for quite a while. However whenever I would start building it I would never be happy with what I had or feel it wasn't focused enough and would enduring tearing it down and starting over.

The general theme is taxes but not full stax. With life drain attrition being a focus to trigger Teysa each turn. I also have some pillow fort effects and political pieces to dissuade players attacking me.

Thanks to the help and suggestions I received on my last post I have landed on this. However I now have the other issue I always seem to run into when deckbuilding... I have too many cards and am unsure what to cut.

Any suggestions or help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Tamiyo Divination Tribal

So I have this creation of mine, the idea is to generate a couple of clues with Tamiyo in the early turns, to set up the "Draw second card" synergies during the midgame, while building a board. It was build for B2 games, but I discover it can hold up to B3 games as well.

https://moxfield.com/decks/5e1RwUwjMkGJ3Y6t9Q3-3g

I'm thinking on commiting to B3, list is a little slow but that's the nature of control, as it will really benefit from [[Seedborn muse]] effects.

For now I'm thinking on adding [[Cyclonic Rift]], [[Wilderness Reclamation]], [[Seedborn muse]], cutting [[Idol of Oblivion]] (I want to draw cards to create tokens, so the effect is a bit backwards in testing), [[Dictate of Krufix]], and [[Overbeing of Myth]].

I will also like to include [[Vendilion Clique]] and [[Tishana's Tidebinder]] as a little more interaction (Clique also can give me a draw trigger, which is nice), but then the cuts become more and more difficult.

Does anyone has some insight on other changes or suggestions on cuts?
