For the constant brewers, how many and what are you currently brewing? ...and maybe why so many?

Inspired by an exchange in a thread in another r/.

How many brews are ongoing for you at any given time? I have two groups of brews, one that I am quite certain I want to build and have already starting to collect/collate cards. Another in the *theory crafting* stage, unsure if I can/will build and it's kind of in the brainstorming, feasibility, theme/mechanics search, etc.

In the making:

- [[Edward Kenway]] attempting to focus on vehicles with pirates/assassins as support.

- [[Kroxa and Kunoros]] Gods and Titans(giants) graveyard matters/reanimator.

- [[Bruse Tarl, Roving Rancher]]+[[Bonny Pall Clearcutter]] Valentines-Pride-all-legendaries-have-partner oxen deck w/ranching/farming/frontier themes.

- [[Niv Mizzet Guildpact]] gates + double-colour-kindred. Currently stalled.

Theory crafting:

- lorehold tokens aggro (Jolly Balloon man or Arabella in mind).

- [[Nikya of the Old Ways]] creatures-only.

- Mono-red tokens inspired by [[Rionya, Fire Dancer]] plus possible rotating/backup commanders of [[Zuko, Avatar Hunter]] and still looking for 1-2 more rotating commanders, considering [[General Kreat]], [[General Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink]]; with cards like [[Rite of the Raging Storm]] in mind.

- Long-term theory crafting [[Colfenor, the Last Yew]] for family memorial reasons.

Why so many?

I have ADHD and need almost-constant mental stimulation to keep boredom away.

I keep many decks around as I host commander nights with friends who are just starting or they don't have their own decks/cards.

Helping you find cards on Scryfall using Syntax search

Reading through the replies asking for deck help, quite a few are asking for help with finding cards that work with their respective decks.

This post hopes to help by showing how to use Scryfall's syntax search to find cards for your deck. This ( https://scryfall.com/docs/syntax ) is the guide page for syntax searching.

When using syntax search I usually start with "format:commander" followed by "commander:<colour>" . The first ensures search results only have commander-legal cards. The second ensures all search results match your commander's colour identity.

Here's an example: I want to find draw instants with mana value 2 for my Azorius commander. I would use "format:commander commander:wu t:instant cmc=2" in the search bar.

A more advance/pinpoint search example: finding creature-based pure draw for my Azorius commander: "format:commander commander:wu t:creature otag:pure-draw". Maybe the 500+ results are too much, we can narrow it down, let's say we want that body to be a soldier and we really only want that draw for late game (therefore higher cmc). We can modify the syntax to "format:commander commander:wu t:soldier otag:pure-draw cmc>3". We now only have 20 results to look through.

With the otag, we can find quite niche cards. I can do another post to help with otags if that is helpful.

For now, I am happy to take requests to put together syntax to help you find cards for your deck. I may take some time but will reply eventually.
