Are there any Commanders you just had to give up on?

I have built and rebuilt my [[Neva, Stalked by Nightmares]] deck numerous times over the past half-year or so. Every time I feel as though I have made a somewhat-viable deck and go to purchase it, I find myself too apprehensive to buy it.

I just know deep down that she is so much more inferior to [[Eriette of the Charmed Apple]], and even the new [[Killian, Decisive Mentor]] and [[Scriv, the Obligator]]. It makes it so hard to put the monetary investment in a deck that I know is subpar.

I really enjoy playing niche and unpopular commanders (I think the game is boring if everyone is running the same top 10 commanders), but I just don't think Neva works as a commander.
