Sweet Soy Noodle Stir Fry with Succulent Prawns, Chinese Sausage and Bok Choy

Chinese-style sausage is one of the hidden gems of the culinary world. I love keeping it in my pantry, it has a subtle sweetness and a satisfyingly chewy texture.

Combined with Aussie prawns and noodles, this dish turned into restaurant-quality noodles.

Definitely worth a try!

How do you guys come up with new ideas primarily?

I feel like I eat the same 3 meals on rotation through out the week. I’m not the best cook in the world and don’t really care to be. I would just like to eat some more different things so it’s not always the same. If I look up recipes I never have the ingredients or cooking instruments and don’t want to run out to get them cause I am usually already starving lol. I eat pretty healthy and am just wondering how people come up with new meals to cook or variations of meals to cook. Didn’t come from a cooking home so I don’t know too much tbh. I appreciate any advice!!

Korean Bulgogi (Fire Meat) Next Level Instant Noodles

“Bulgogi” means “fire meat” in Korean and is one of Korea’s most loved beef dishes, usually enjoyed on special days with family.

With thinly sliced beef and instant noodles, I decided to create my own Bulgogi noodles.

It turned out amazing, so glad I made it!

Wok-Tossed Chili Soy Beef & Onion Rice Noodles with Fried Egg

I always keep rice noodles in my pantry, they’re one of my favourites. They can be a bit tricky to cook since they’re so fragile, but when done right… they’re so worth it.

Steamed shrimp with garlic sauce

I learned this recipe online, it takes a little bit effort working on the shrimps, other than that, it’s super easy and tasty.

Am I doomed?

Hello Reddit,

I never post on here, but things have become rather dire. My husband and I are not good cooks. I was fine with my assorted girl dinners and eating out when I was single but making food while married has become the bane of my existence. Actually, when I was single and had no full time job I really enjoyed cooking! With my lack of prep time available I have hated it the past five years.

My husband makes our breakfasts typically and we scrounge for our lunches (he packs his for work and I work remotely from home). When dinner time rolls around I am already starving and I always end up making about the three same things (chili, curry or salmon and rice). My work is stressful so I don’t have a lot of time throughout the day to prep even though I work from home. My husband and I take turns cooking dinner, but it’s mostly me since he covers breakfast.

If you have any easy life-saving recipes for dinner I would be forever in your debt. Anything with an air fryer, yes. Anything with something I can buy from Costco or Trader Joe’s, yes. Anything that tastes amazing and doesn’t look like dog food (chili has been making me gag lately with the consistency), yes. Hanger has been getting the best of me lately and my bummer attitude about me being a bad cook (which has been true the past few years) is bumming me out and I’d like to change my outlook.

I also have, in my desperation, turned to AI for recipes. Yes, AI, which doesn’t even have taste buds. I just couldn’t handle another recipe website with a bunch of ads and a story about how their grandpas meemaw used to make this recipe in their Amish barn in Pennsylvania, with a butter churner and whatever the freak they put in those long intros on those websites.

I’m sorry that this question has already been asked a billion times but I also just needed to vent a little.

Thanks Reddit, you’re the best.

Sweet & Spicy Gochujang Honey Chicken with Mozzarella Melt

When I saw chicken and mozzarella in the fridge, I wanted to try combining the two, just like I’ve seen at Korean chicken restaurants - wrapping melted mozzarella around chicken and eating it.

Even though this is homemade, it turned out uniquely delicious: savoury, sweet, spicy, and very cheesy!

Need some Sunday early dinner recs!

Hey everyone! My wife and I like to be pretty lowkey on Sundays. Every once and a while we will do a whole appetizer spread at like 1/2pm and just eat like garbage the whole day. SO this Sunday is going to be that day so I need ideas lol.

So far I have stuff to make:

Jalapeño Popper Dip

Cheeseburger Egg Rolls from Disney.

What else should we do? I am also thinking of some sort of Bruschetta but don't really want to have another dip with bread? IDK you tell me. We like finger food type stuff to just grab a bite of while we run to the kitchen to get a drink or playing with the kids. Not everything has to be baked. Something else we like to do are little cucumber and pimento cheese sandwiches (made for the first time when Bridgerton season 3 came out lol)

Korean Sweet Soy Beef Mixed Noodles with Chili Sauce & Boiled Egg

This is traditional Korean mixed thin noodles. Simple, comforting, and perfect any time of the year. It’s like Korean mixed rice, Bibimbap, but in noodle form.

Just like Bibimbap, we mix all the ingredients together before eating.
I added my own twist to it, and it turned out even better than I expected!

Chicken Nuggets, Cheesy Broccoli, Spinach Salad

What a yummy easy dinner. Didn’t feel like “cooking” so heated up chicken nuggets.
Made bacon first for the spinach salad, poured out the grease to make the salad dressing. Then used the pan for the broccoli (that was fresh I cut up) let the broccoli get some color before deglazing the pan with chicken stock seasoned with just salt and pepper added parm and mild cheddar covered it and took it off the heat to steam and melt the cheese.
Rice vinegar, sugar, bacon fat, salt and pepper for the spinach salad dressing.
Garlic and goat cheese aïoli was mayo yogurt goat cheese salt and yuzu 👀

Yummy week night “easy” dinner

Sweet & Spicy Oven Baked Korean Gochujang Chicken in a Pillowy Soft Bun

I love having Gochujang (Korean fermented chili paste) in my fridge.

With chicken thighs and soft Chinese-style buns on hand, this dish just made sense. The Gochujang sauce brought that perfect sweet, spicy kick, while fresh cucumber balanced everything out beautifully.
