Help

Hello Reddit,

I never post on here, but things have become rather dire. My husband and I are not good cooks. I was fine with my assorted girl dinners and eating out when I was single but making food while married has become the bane of my existence. Actually, when I was single and had no full time job I really enjoyed cooking! With my lack of prep time available I have hated it the past five years.

My husband makes our breakfasts typically and we scrounge for our lunches (he packs his for work and I work remotely from home). When dinner time rolls around I am already starving and I always end up making about the three same things (chili, curry or salmon and rice). My work is stressful so I don’t have a lot of time throughout the day to prep even though I work from home. My husband and I take turns cooking dinner, but it’s mostly me since he covers breakfast.

If you have any easy life-saving recipes for dinner I would be forever in your debt. Anything with an air fryer, yes. Anything with something I can buy from Costco or Trader Joe’s, yes. Anything that tastes amazing and doesn’t look like dog food (chili has been making me gag lately with the consistency), yes. Hanger has been getting the best of me lately and my bummer attitude about me being a bad cook (which has been true the past few years) is bumming me out and I’d like to change my outlook.

I also have, in my desperation, turned to AI for recipes. Yes, AI, which doesn’t even have taste buds. I just couldn’t handle another recipe website with a bunch of ads and a story about how their grandpas meemaw used to make this recipe in their Amish barn in Pennsylvania, with a butter churner and whatever the freak they put in those long intros on those websites.

I’m sorry that this question has already been asked a billion times but I also just needed to vent a little.

Thanks Reddit, you’re the best.
