Need advice on champ select

Currently bronze. My champ pool consists of briar, Diana and kindred. I used to one trick briar now I main kindred, I picked up Diana because I needed an Ap pick. So in terms of confidence and skill level with each champ it would be: briar>kindred>diana. I tend to blind pick kindred because I find playing her the most fun right now.

Now my main query is, when do I play these champs ? Like in what situations are each of these champs meant to be played. I used to think it didn’t matter what I picked as long as I enjoyed playing the champ, and i still think that but I’ve come to realize that actually getting better at the game is a tad bit more enjoyable.

I’m open to all advice and opinions. So please and thank you 🙏

Dusk and Dawn nerf. Does it change anything?

New nerf to D&D

Dusk and Dawn

HP reduced 350 >>> 300

AP reduced 70 >>> 60

Attack Speed reduced 25% >>> 20%

Spellblade now also heals 10% AP + 3% bonus HP

Nerf to a strong item, and the heal is nice consolation. Is this changing anything for Diana or is this still the priority item?

Old triple E was not a bug.

i will forever be salty about the removal of og triple e, mainly because they gave us the bullshit excuse of saying it was a bug, when new triple e is objectively a bug, og triple e followed all the rules of dianas kit, and required skill to execute. dianas q applies moonlight in real time as the arc travels along the ground and hits enemies, so how exactly can a moonlight mark be removed from something that doesnt have it yet????

but here we have this janky ass new version, where somehow the first target hit keeps their moonlight???

i absolutely believe riot just didnt want diana to have that kind of skill expression and mobility, they have said multiple time they dont like certain high damage stat check champs having too much skill expression, diana falls in between those lines, goes back to what i believe is another instance of ap "assassin" diana holding her full kit back from being as good as it could be

new skin release prediction

just estimating when the skin is to come out, so act 1 ends in 8 days, act 2 is gonna be shorter than usual, 10 weeks, so its gonna be here fairly quick, im guessing it will be released on pbe within the last month of the season, so after 6 weeks into act 2, skin hits pbe, then comes to live week nine

New Diana build!

Hi all, I recently started using a new build and I wanted to share it with everyone as I think it has potential to be pretty good and across a small sample size I have had some excellent results!

Runes:

Conqueror: it provides excellent damage across all stages of the game and works very well with Diana

Triumph: Really solid healing and extra gold always helps

Legend Haste: I take haste here as I find that Diana always has more than enough attack speed from Dusk and Dawn and her passive. Taking ability haste will scale very well into all stages of the game and allow you to output consistent damage.

Cut Down: I take Cut down as it gives you more initial burst damage, which is needed considering the items we will be building.

Cash Back: Cash back is a great all around rune and probably the second best option from the inspiration tree. I find that it helps accelerate your lead and allows you to hit power spikes much faster

Cosmic Insight: Extra ult haste and spell haste is amazing and allows you to fight much more often.

For our stats we take, attack speed, move speed, and scaling HP. Since we won't be using Legend: Alacrity this will make up for the small difference and still get you up to more than enough AS. The extra movement speed is very useful at all stages across the game and really helps you with your farm and ganking. Lastly as this is a bruiser build the scaling HP will really help us in later game team fights and give you a slight edge. You can also swap this for tenacity if there is a lot of CC

Items:

Starting Items: Red smite (The extra damage really helps the bruiser build)

Boots: I go defensive unless if there is very little CC and very squishy enemies

First Item: Dusk and Dawn (Essential to Diana)

Second Item options: Riftmaker (I go this every game), or Liandrys

Third Item options: Riftmaker, Liandrys, Morellonomicom (Only into a lot of heals), or Bloodletters Curse

Fourth Item options: Build whichever haunting Guise item you haven't built yet, or Zohnya's into heavy AD

Firth Item options: Seriously build whichever haunting Guise item now, or Zohnya's

Sixth Item options: If I have a fully staked Dark seal I will go Mejai's but if not this is when buy Rabadons

Explanation: With Diana your goal is to farm your camps when you don't have Ult and fight when you do. This build allows you to take fights that squishier builds wouldn't. Thanks to your runes you will start off fights by bursting down your enemies, once they are low and the longer the fight goes on you will than have your conqueror stacked and all your haunting guise items fully built up allowing you to front line and deal major damage. You melt through other bruisers and still have enough burst to 1 shot squishes.

I hope some of you try this build and have success with it! I'll be playing a lot more games with this build and I will post an update on it sometime next week with more data points and maybe some tweaks if I feel they are needed!

New static shiv on PBE

Has anyone tried the new statikk shiv on pbe?

I played a bit and it seems that with Dusk and Dawn + statikk shiv hitting 4 targets you get your passive proced TWICE. Thats like 1k extra AOE dmg (lvl 18 full build to target dummy with no armor). Q > E > R to group 3/4 enemies > AA (dd proc) 2 passive stacks + statikk on-hit proc hits 3/4 enemies for 3/4 passive stacks meaning 1 passive dmg + 2nd passive dmg or if statikk hit "only" 3 enemies, hit ones more for 2nd passive dmg. Also the first passive dmg has no FX so if you try this just heads up.

Might be a solid pick in some matches? Thoughts?

Diana/leona new skin

Bad bears thinking is interesting because there is a chance we might just get mythic skins for diana and leona just how highnoon lucian and coven nami got same mythic version but for us it would be winterblessed and highnoon. But i guess we can only wait for offical details.
