This view alone is enough to challenge the flawed philosophy that claims joy comes only through indulgence and consumption. there is profound joy even in detached observation.

The Economics of Truth: Is it possible to challenge global industries with just 'good intentions' and no resources?

#🥛 Dairy Industry

#🐔 Poultry Industry

#🥩 Meat Industry

भारत में हर महीने

💰 ₹1.5 लाख करोड़+ का animal business।

#👉 Allana Group

जानवरों का मांस export करके

₹1200 करोड़+ महीना।

#👉 Amul

दूध के नाम पर industrial dairy system

₹8000 करोड़+ महीना।

#👉 Suguna Foods

Today I shamed my uncle infront of everyone.

Today at a vegetarian family gathering I refused to eat a food that had dairy. My uncle suddenly said, "Aise to sab kuch chod do aur sanyaas hi le lo na, pahadon par". Inrernally I got very angry and instantly replied in front of everyone:

"Give me milk from a girl's breasts. I want to drink it." (I said in hindi)

Everyone was shocked and completely silent. So in the anger I asked again:

"I want to drink from a mother's breasts! At least I am asking for human milk! You are drinking milk from cows breasts!" (I said in hindi)

Even babies of animals stop being attached to breasts after certain age, but these old grown up adults are so pervert they still drink from Animals!

Then joint-family quickly tried to calm the situation and then changed the topic.

I don't know what happened to me, but this was my instant anger.

The thing is we humans view animals are commodities for us to consume and sexually exploit them. Humans do not view them as individuals. This discrimination is called "speciesism", just like "racism". "Exploiting others because they belong to other species."

If people start spending time with dogs, cows, chickens they'd know how similar they behave like humans. Only then "viewing them as objects" would end.

I want to go vegan, but..

I don't buy from fast fashion companies. I don't buy leather. I don't support skin care brands that test on animals.

But I just can't go vegan with my diet.

I'm non-vegetarian (please don't kill me) but my diet is 60% plant based 20% dairy and 20% meat.

I've started substituting small things in my life, like milkshakes, or not buying icecreams with milk. Not eating cheese ALL the time.

I have stopped drinking tea everyday too.

I just can't get myself to go fully vegan or even just vegetarian, because I don't want to miss out. A big part of travelling and exploring culture or new places is food. Food is important to me.

I feel guilty because im eating animals, but at the same time i can't stop. I wish I never ate animals from the beginning, that way i wouldn't have ever known what fish tastes like, then i wouldn't struggle with this.

And saying "oh there's substitutes" is kind of dumb because I've tried, nothing tastes like the original stuff.

Ahh I hate this.

I have no one else to talk about this with (I have a vegan friend, but i highly doubt she'd understand.)

Edit: What do I do?? (I missed typing out the most important part)

15 plant protein foods with real serving sizes

A couple of things stood out for me:

  • Dal and chickpeas are decent, but you need proper quantity
  • Peanut butter/nuts look high, but you are also eating a lot of calories
  • Stuff like oats/bread adds up, but slowly

Basically, veg protein is doable, but you can't rely on just one thing. You need to mix sources.

Would be interesting to know how people here are managing protein daily, especially if you are vegetarian.

Has anyone tried InLife Nurospan B supplements? Is it effective?

Been vegan for 9 months and I need opinions on this B12 supplement.

Previously I was taking Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg OD from Best Choice https://amzn.in/d/0f9IcbL9

No side effects so far also can’t really say much about effectiveness yet since it’s only been a few months

And Recently I found this one https://amzn.in/d/0aedGrBM

What interested me was the ingredient profile-Vitamin B12, Alpha Lipoic Acid, inositol, Calcium Pantothenate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Folic Acid,Pyridoxine Hydrochloride

A lot of these are synthetic and salt forms, and they participate in interconnected metabolic pathways, so on paper it looks decent to me.

So,
Has anyone here actually tried this supplement?

Did you notice any difference or found it effective?

Is the formulation legit or just marketing heavy?

Also I noticed that:
The product is marketed as having Vitamin D3 (1000 IU dose is great for supplementation), but I can’t find any mention of cholecalciferol in the ingredient list itself.

Is that a labeling issue? Or is this a red flag?

Edit- I am not looking for Vitamin D3 in this tablet specifically but they have marketed this as it has vitamin D3 but ingredient list doesnt, so maybe this is labelling issue (which shouldn't be) and if it is, then the whole product raises concern on its transparency and also I cannot find any lab reports claim.
