So I got banned from r/feminists after making a post about veganism.

I just said that feminism is supposed to be against exploitation and domination, so I don’t understand why so many feminists get defensive and angry when veganism is brought up.

Does “my body, my choice” mean that, when it finally comes to MY body, I can CHOOSE to be cruel toward those who cannot defend themselves? How is that any different from men who "choose" to sexually abuse women, to satisfy "their" body?

Shouldn’t “choice” come from deep understanding? Why are so many feminists also speciesist? Why oppose one form of discrimination while supporting another?

Feminists are fighting a battle while pointing the gun at themselves.

I think that instead of demanding equality between genders, we should strive for "body irrelevance". Why can’t human beings relate to one another simply as conscious individuals? None of us chose the bodies we were born into; they were given to us by nature, by chance. So the physical differences between people should not define their worth or place in society. What truly matters is the nature of one’s consciousness how compassionate, ethical, and non-exploitative a person is.

To me it feels they are disconnected how they completely ignore what happens to female animals in industries built on exploitation.

I know not all feminists are like this, and I’ve met many vegan feminists who are very consistent.

I was at a family gathering today and refused to eat any food containing dairy. Then my uncle mocked me and said, "If you're going to be like this, why don't you just become a monk and renounce everything?"

I got very angry internally and instantly replied in front of everyone:

"Give me milk from a girl's breasts. I want to drink it."

Everyone was shocked but in my anger I repeated:

"I want to drink from a mother's breasts. At least I'm asking for human milk. You drink milk from the breasts of animals!"

Even babies of animals stop being attached to breasts after certain age, but these old grown up adults are so pervert they still drink from Animals breasts! (Read about Sigmund Freuds milk theory)

The whole family quickly jumped in to calm things down and then changed the topic. I don’t know what came over me, but that was my raw reaction.

The thing is we humans view animals are commodities for us to consume and sexually exploit them. Humans do not view them as individuals. This discrimination is called "speciesism", just like "racism". "Exploiting others because they belong to other species."

If people start spending time with dogs, cows, chickens they'd know how similar they behave like humans. Only then "viewing them as objects" would end.

Today I shamed my uncle infront of everyone.

Today at a vegetarian family gathering I refused to eat a food that had dairy. My uncle suddenly said, "Aise to sab kuch chod do aur sanyaas hi le lo na, pahadon par". Inrernally I got very angry and instantly replied in front of everyone:

"Give me milk from a girl's breasts. I want to drink it." (I said in hindi)

Everyone was shocked and completely silent. So in the anger I asked again:

"I want to drink from a mother's breasts! At least I am asking for human milk! You are drinking milk from cows breasts!" (I said in hindi)

Even babies of animals stop being attached to breasts after certain age, but these old grown up adults are so pervert they still drink from Animals!

Then joint-family quickly tried to calm the situation and then changed the topic.

I don't know what happened to me, but this was my instant anger.
