Any one recently bought an avata 2?. How do you find it so far?

I ask because the calibration requires that the sticks be centered. But if I start the stick down and then do the calibration, would that work?

I have tried Liftoff and Uncrashed. Installing Avata 2 community profiles and using a FVP Controller 3 which is calibrated.

I can't believe the real drone can fly like this. Just nudge a stick and I shoot to the moon. Tap the other stick and I tumble like being shot from a cannon. I know learning FVP is difficult but I can't imagine this heavy and slow drone would ever act like it does in the sims.

I recently bought a DJI Avata 2, Remote Controller 3, and Goggles N3 with the intention of flying indoors in places like houses, hotels, and other buildings. For now, it is just for practice, but maybe commercially in the future.

The problem is that even when I fly out of my room with the doors open, I tend to lose signal, and the drone either stops responding to throttle inputs or loses connection completely.

I have seen TikToks of a guy flying his Avata 2 around large hotels in Thailand, and I am wondering how he gets such a good connection.

Could this be because I am using the cheaper Goggles N3?

When flying outdoors, I also lose signal when the drone and goggles are separated by trees. I understand this is probably due to signal blockage, reflections, and general radio wave interference.

But what about indoor flying? Do you have any tips on how I can improve or extend the connection?

Whelp I think i ruined the drone... it was submerged for about 40 minutes in a fresh water field run off ditch with a steady flow of water hitting it. There was blue gunk on the USB C port and on the battery terminal when I took it out of the water.

Dried in silica descicant for 4 days and cleaned the contacts with isopropyl alcohol.

Tried turning the drone on for the first time since the crash and the start up beeping did not play, the blades clicked during the start up like normal. On the fpv display it immediately said unable to take off and battery communication error. I disconnected power at that point. Im a new drone owner without dji refresh (in the usa)... i think I only have 2 options at this point... pay someone to fix it or cut my losses and buy another drone... any suggestions!?

I was flying my drone recently over a lake during sunset.

I had taken over water after a long time, Stupid of me that i forgot the Distance sensor readings is unreliable over water, I was skimming over the water thinking i have good clearance, The drone ended up in the lake. It is unrecoverable as the lake is deep.

I do have DJI care refresh; and it is bound to my drone; however the drone and the plan was purchased in China last time I was there. Drone was bought in authorized DJI store (non official). I remember the sales associate briefly mentioning that the refresh care is valid only in China.

1. where do I check the coverage?

2. The lake was outside China, during my recent trip, can i still claim flyaway?

3. Will Flyaway cover this, and what would be the cost to exercise it?
