Georgetown Salon
Need advice on a bad balayage situation 😭
I’m trying to figure out how to approach a salon that really messed up my hair, and whether I should publicly warn other girls not to go to this stylist.
The result is literally my worst nightmare. Years of balayage ruined and my hair is absolutely fried.
I’ve been trying to handle it calmly and fairly, but I feel stuck. I asked about being compensated (on top of not having to pay) since I’ll have to pay someone else DOUBLE the original cost to fix it, and I feel like I’m harassing her just for asking. She removed me on Instagram after saying me not having to pay was “complimentary” and has now left my last message on sent for more than a day.
At this point I want to warn other girls so they don’t end up in the same situation, but I’m stuck on whether I should actually put her name out there. Part of me feels bad doing that, l feel like this situation has been handled so unfairly. Just because salon has a policy doesn’t mean that you’re suddenly not in the wrong??
What would you guys do? Would you post her name/warn people, go above her head to management to ask for a different solution, or just take the loss and move on? I don’t know how to handle this, because her work appears great online but someone else could somehow get results like mine.
(The girl who had an appointment right before me said she didn’t like her results either. Red flag)
