Need advice on a bad balayage situation 😭

I’m trying to figure out how to approach a salon that really messed up my hair, and whether I should publicly warn other girls not to go to this stylist.

The result is literally my worst nightmare. Years of balayage ruined and my hair is absolutely fried.

I’ve been trying to handle it calmly and fairly, but I feel stuck. I asked about being compensated (on top of not having to pay) since I’ll have to pay someone else DOUBLE the original cost to fix it, and I feel like I’m harassing her just for asking. She removed me on Instagram after saying me not having to pay was “complimentary” and has now left my last message on sent for more than a day.

At this point I want to warn other girls so they don’t end up in the same situation, but I’m stuck on whether I should actually put her name out there. Part of me feels bad doing that, l feel like this situation has been handled so unfairly. Just because salon has a policy doesn’t mean that you’re suddenly not in the wrong??

What would you guys do? Would you post her name/warn people, go above her head to management to ask for a different solution, or just take the loss and move on? I don’t know how to handle this, because her work appears great online but someone else could somehow get results like mine.

(The girl who had an appointment right before me said she didn’t like her results either. Red flag)

Helppp

Need advice on a bad balayage/blonde correction situation 😭

I went to a salon and showed my stylist my inspo pic + her own Instagram work, and she confirmed she could do what I wanted. I asked for a bright icey blonde, blended look.

The result came out really off. It’s patchy/brassy, not blended well, and looks NOTHING like what we discussed. She even told me before I saw the final result that I didn’t have to pay, which made me feel like she already knew it wasn’t right.

Her solution was basically to bleach it again, then later said maybe toner would fix it, but it didn’t feel like there was a real clear plan. I had another stylist previously get me much lighter in one session, so I’m confused why this turned into “just bleach it again” with zero mention of things like a root smudge or actual color correction strategy unless I brought it up.

My biggest concern is the integrity of my hair. It already feels compromised and I’m really not comfortable doing another round of bleach just hoping it works. I’d rather protect my hair than keep processing it into breakage.

At this point I don’t even know what the best fix is, like would a toner actually fix it at all?
root smudge + lowlights? full color correction by someone else? just leave it alone and focus on hair health first?

And does this sound like a situation where I should refuse full payment if the result is this far off?

Need honest advice from colorists or anyone who’s dealt with this. I’ve been crying all day lol.
