CA 06 Congressional Candidate Interviews on YouTube Now!

I got this info from Yolo Indivisible and wanted to share! They setup interviews for the Democrats in the race, and put them on YouTube so we can check them out and make an informed decision.

As you probably know, your district might have changed due to the passage of Prop 50 last November. The new 6th district includes West Sac, Parts of North and East Sac, Citrus Heights, Roseville and Rocklin. Hopefully the map image above is helpful, I took it from Ballotpedia.

From Yolo Indivisible: Congressional District CD6 - Candidate Forum Interviews

Indivisible Yolo’s West Sacramento Action Circle is proud to present California Congressional District 6 candidate interviews that were conducted May 6-7, 2026.

The videos are unedited. We invited the five Democrat candidates to participate (Guerrero, Ho, Pan, Tomlinson and Vandenberg). All of them accepted our invitation and were then sent the list of questions the day before their interview.

View the interviews on Indivisible Yolo's YouTube account: https://www.youtube.com/@indivisibleyolo3629

Tyler Vandenberg: https://youtu.be/EB2a0duwttA

Lauren Babb Tomlinson: https://youtu.be/sMKxUKoFNMw

Martha Guerrero: https://youtu.be/YVuMNs6wcDY

Dr. Richard Pan: https://youtu.be/cHJh2D_DKDM

[Edit to clarify: Mr. Ho accepted the invitation but was unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict.]

This single level mall that opened in 1971 is basically on its last leg at this point and it won't be long. More than half of the mall has been empty and this historic staple has been a ghost town since the pandemic. Walking into a JC Penny today is like walking into a Sears, considering that a whole lot of JCP locations still have the original lighting, home department and apparel that Sears has. As of the day of this post, there are 51 stores in this mall. JCP has 645 stores, including this one here in Sacramento (Citrus Heights) and it is the last anchor of this mall, Macy's has 408 and Sears has 5, including the last one here in the state of California, at Sun Valley Shopping Center in Concord, which is 1 hour and 22 minutes away from here, and all 3 of these department store chains are still online to this day. All of this to say that Sears left this mall on July 15th of 2018, followed by both the Macy's Men and Home store and Women and Children store last year on March the 23rd, leaving the mall with the last anchor tenant, JC Penney. The Macy's Men's and Home Store was originally a Weinstock's.

To all you wonderful neighbors who post "What is the helicopter doing overhead?" or "why are there so many cop cars around?"

I'm here to help!!!
There is a FREE ONLINE SCANNER I found at:

You can select different cities in Sacramento County like Sac Police, Sheriff, Citrus Heights, Folsom, etc. YOU CAN EVEN SELECT "HELICOPTER!"

It even has a chat were you can see what you missed if your late to the party or want an update.
It's great and I hope it helps! Let me know how you like it!

The new Mongolian BBQ at Sunrise and Sungarden is open

according to my wife, who was just at Starbucks. Not an ad; I’m just happy to have another local option for MBBQ. We live near there and I’ve watched the progress with anticipation lol

Looking for some advice. After months of looking for houses in a reasonable price range, I finally found one in Citrus Heights in the Birdcage Heights area off Mariposa. I'm not too familiar with the area, but I've never heard good things about Citrus Heights. I just know it's much busier than what I'm used to in the Pocket area (unfortunately, I can't afford to stay in Pocket). Is this area safe? I think the neighborhood looks great, but the surrounding areas look a little rough.

Tennis?

Lately, I've been playing tennis with random people all around Sac and Citrus Heights. I'm still wondering whether the tennis community here is still as big as before, or if pickleball players have taken us over. Otherwise, tennis at Howe Park, Brooktree, Mariposa, and Gibbons is where most of the activity comes. I'm just looking for people to play with either tmr or throughout the week.

I just got a windshield chip this morning while taking a friend to the airport. My insurance deductible is probably higher than the cost to repair.

Any recommendations on where I should go and how much it should cost?

EDIT: After a few calls I went to *Import & Domestic Auto Glass* in North Highlands. Though they were working on several other cars, they were able to get the chip repair done in less than 30 mins for $50.

Hi all! Looking to have 1-2 portraits done as gifts from a set of photos. Anyone know how to find local artists who are accepting commissions? SO tired of the AI slop people sell. I want a real person to complete the request(s). I don’t have Instagram so haven’t been able to use that as a resource. Any ideas/suggestions would be awesome in my hunt for a reasonably priced local artist.

Thanks!!

Title. I’m looking to find another one or two of these. I bought this from a rental store that was closing down a bunch of years back. Hoping to find something similar with casters like this one. Anyone have one for sale?

I'm starting to look into dental implants and was told I might need to see either an oral and maxillofacial surgeon or a periodontist depending on the case.

I can't really travel far, so I'm trying to find someone near Citrus Heights.

If anyone has recommendations or experience with either locally, I'd really appreciate it.

Corner of Sunrise and Antelope. Guy wanted a buck so he could buy some cigar. He's still looking for that buck. Perhaps I'm just blind, but I don't see this often. Then again, I'm not at the EZ Mart all that much. Perhaps I'm just blind to it? Anyone else exposed to this?
