Hey, I'm currently enrolled as a biological sciences major at UCM for next year

I wanted to know what UCM life is like since I've never been over at UCM or the Merced area, except for tennis tournaments and Hmong celebrations.

I really want to know what the academic profile is about, coming from an IBDP student myself, and how the bio major is taught throughout the uni.

I also want to know about what to do in Merced because all I can think about is either working out at the gym or playing tennis. I've seen some parts like the mall, downtown, or Yosemite, but anything else is just really dry. Coming from an Asian perspective, are there any fellow Asian-Americans that I can connect with, since I'm not sure if I can find my people around the area as well, despite looking at the Asian-oriented clubs.

Lately, I've been playing tennis with random people all around Sac and Citrus Heights. I'm still wondering whether the tennis community here is still as big as before, or if pickleball players have taken us over. Otherwise, tennis at Howe Park, Brooktree, Mariposa, and Gibbons is where most of the activity comes. I'm just looking for people to play with either tmr or throughout the week.
