How is this job?

I have a second interview with National General/ Allstate for an WFH Automotive claims adjuster trainee. Wanting to know your guys thoughts on this job? I am currently a service advisor/ manager and am so burnt out of this job, been doing it for 4 years now. The money is great but just super tired of the job and don’t think I can handle this much constant stress long term as it has started to affect my health some. I’ve heard being an adjuster is just as stressful and the pay won’t be even remotely close? Is it worth making this jump to get out of being an SA with a big pay cut. Any advice or input from someone would be great especially if they came from being a service advisor! Side note,I’d love to do field claims but I’m sure that would take alittle while to get there.

Dream job of getting CAT Auto Field Adjuster for Allstate

I’ve been at Allstate for over a year in sales. Just switched over to National General as a property auto claims adjuster. Any tips on how to quickly move to my dream job of CAT auto field adjuster on the Allstate side again?

Hiring Process

I recently applied for an administrative assistant position and I applied on 5/2/26 - the listing closed like a week ago, is it a good sign for my application to still show in progress but no one has reached out? What experiences did you guys have as far as interviewing or application statuses.

Multiple-policy discount expired

I just switched homeowners, auto, and umbrella to Allstate April and got and email just now that my multiple-policy discount has expired. I paid full year on homeowners and six months on auto. I bought on line and talked to an agent. I am going to call tomorrow but curious if anyone has any advice?

Car advice

Hi y'all. My car was recently involved in a collision that was no fault of my own. The assailant was drunk and ended up totalling my car while it was parked on the road. They got arrested, but that's as far as I know on that end. Allstate is paying for a rental, but my problem is how much Allstate is offering for my vehicle. After my deductible I am only receiving $6k for my vehicle that is just over a decade old but in great condition with no issues.

Is it reasonable for me to request that they offer more considering the fact that I have full coverage and this accident was 100% not my fault? And is it worth it to get a lawyer?

Thanks in advance.

Don't see a place to add accidents or home claim?

I'm doing an auto and home bundle quote on the AllState website. It is giving me a good rate, but it doesn't have a place to add accidents, only asks if I had moving violations in the past five years. I don't have a moving violation, but I did have a backing accident three years ago that paid out $490.

It also doesn't ask about home claims. I had a wind claim about two and a half years ago that paid out almost $5,000.

Is it normal that it did not ask? I don't want to switch and get hit by a surprise rate increase. Is it already factoring in reports?

I was rear-ended in an accident. I was driving in the highway and a driver hit me. I drive a 2025 VW Tiguan SE- R line. My car had about 5k miles on it at the time of accident. Do I have enough cause for a diminished value claim? What is it looking like if I do have a claim.

Hey everyone,
I’m new to Allstate and had a few questions I’m hoping some of you can help with:

How many states are agents typically appointed in when starting out? Is it limited at first or can you expand quickly?

Is fingerprinting part of the onboarding process?

If I currently have my personal lines license, will I need to also obtain a property and casualty license, or does personal lines cover what I need?

Appreciate any insight from those who’ve gone through the process. Thanks in advance!

My vehicle is valued at 9,743. I don't have the CCC because the screenshot was weird, but the 9,137 is from before they add miles, tax, and title fees. They aren't answering my questions, they just keep sending the same email. If they sent anything at all.

Hello all. I have a couple questions about the typical day in sales. I read up on how there is a point system that dictates your pay so I was curious how many calls come in a day for inbound sales? Is there a lot of wait time or they frequent? I would just want enough calls coming in to hit goals. Not new to insurance, but new to sales so any other insight on the day to day would be great! Like what are the usual shifts, how flexible are schedules, and how does a typical shift look for you? Really just happy to hear whatever you'd like to share as I prepare for my interview.

Hey yall, I’m fairly new and I was playing around with my workday and it threw me off lol.

I’m getting a sign on bonus and it says it’s scheduled for May 6th. Does that mean it’s getting deposited on May 6th or will it be on the next check? I know some companies send bonuses on off cycle pay weeks, so I was just curious what to expect.

Thank you!

I have 16 years of sales experience in the insurance industry. I’m based in the Northeast. The job I currently have has a high base pay around $68k but they have switched to a captive agency so our sales and commissions are rapidly decreasing. I have been here for 13 years and this is the worst it’s been. The company we write with has very strict underwriting guidelines for home insurance and their auto rates are very expensive for most clients. When they do come in cheap, we usually end up selling a low premium standalone/monoline auto policy which is a small boost but not much because they switched our pay structure from being based on policy count to being based on commission. We work in an agency office so we’re expected to do a lot of customer service and DMV paperwork in addition to just sales

I’m being offered a fully remote job at a Allstate agency in GA which has lower base pay, around $42k; but they still pay based on policy count and have a generous commission structure. I also would not be expected to do any customer service. I would need to sell about 55-65 policies a month to make roughly the same or exceed what I’m currently making. I have previously made and even exceeded those numbers regularly at my current agency before it went captive and switched to the premium based system, all while fulfilling those customer service requirements.

The agency owner and manager seem very nice and helpful and confident in me because I have insurance knowledge I’m usually pretty charming and charismatic on the phone But do you all think Allstate is competitive enough in GA for a remote personal lines auto and home for an experienced insurance agent to put up 55-65 polices a month, with little to no customer service requirements? From past experience I also feel like potential customers in GA are generally a lot nicer, polite and more friendly than the more blunt customers I have dealt with in the Northeast. But I also know them being nice and polite won’t mean much if my auto and home quotes will consistently be much higher. I always go for the bundle (renters, condos ,homes) every time. But I want to make sure GA isn’t a total hostile price territory for Allstate.

I know the vast majority of people shopping for quotes online are only trying to save money. Especially in this economy with all the inflation we’re seeing

Thanks in advance for any feedback and opinions. Appreciate you guys and gals!!
