Debating between Sony Bravia 3 vs X90L

Hi guys. My Sony X80J decided to stop working today and I got the 6 blink red lights. So looks like I need to shop for a new tv. Went to local Best Buy and seemed like best deals are on these 2 tvs. Looking at the Sony Bravia 3 or X90L. Both in 65in. Just wanted to get some thoughts as this is a rushed purchase because I need a new TV. Had to bring the bedroom tv that’s only a 50in Vizio for the time being

A95L for $1850!?! What’s the catch?

Title says it really. I’m in the market for something and stumbled across this 65 inch TV. I’ve heard good things about it and the prices for this particular tv are usually around triple. Am I missing something here?

Best 50” 4K TV under €400 for movies (EU/Italy)

Hi everyone!

I’m based in Italy and looking to buy a TV for my living room. I’m limited to a maximum of 50 inches (the wall unit has about 120 cm of width for the TV space).

I’d like to keep the budget as low as possible, ideally no more than €400. I’m looking for a 4K TV with a smooth enough interface for the usual streaming apps (Netflix, Prime Video, etc.).

My usage is 99% movies and TV series. I do own a PS5, but I barely use it (maybe once every six months), so gaming features are not a priority at all.

The budget is flexible since I’m not fully up to date with current prices, but I’m hoping that €300–400 is a reasonable range for something decent.

Thanks in advance!

Grab TCL 55 inch C7K for ~707 euro or wait for C7L series ?

As the title says. My old TV (TCL C70) broke (PSU unit, I gave it to one tech "magician", maybe he will be able to fix the board)

I know that C*L series are slowly being released in Europe but unfortunately I have absolutely no info (nor I can get any) when they will be avalivable in Poland

I can buy 55 inch C7K right now with coupon for around 707 euro

What would you guys do ? Wait or buy ?

It is also worth noting that if 55 inch C7L would launch above around 950 euro in Poland then it would be quite too much for me and above my budget

Main use for me is either playing on Xbox or watching web stuff like Youtube or some anime/tv shows. Once in a while a movie

I rarely watch actual TV these days, it's gone to shit. Every once in a while I may watch some football game, usually when big events are on like World Cup or Euro Cup or Champion's League

What is the best and most worth your money sony tv

I have been looking into buying a new tv and was definitely going to go with sony (unless you wanted to suggest another better option) and was wondering which is the most worth buying, my top picks so far were the bravia 8, bravia 8 ii and the bravia 9. I dont understand the differences all that much or why they jump up in price so much, i just wanted the best quality and most worth the money

If there is a better option let me know, also where is best to buy and for the best price

Thanku

55" UHD 4K Curved Smart TV NU7300 Series 7 -How cooked am I?

I was gifted this TV by my brother like 5 or so years ago after he upgraded. I've recently just tried to watch a 4K movie on it for the first time and ... it looks bad. The picture quality is alright I mean. The resolution is good (to my eyes) but the "HDR" is not at all what I would assume HDR is advertised to be as.

For a time I just assumed maybe the TV didn't actually support HDR and that's why the image looked so desaturated. I don't mean it looks more realistic. I mean it straight up looks like they stripped the whole thing of any vibrancy. It doesn't look enhanced at all. It doesn't look "realistic." I can look to my left outside and see more color than with the HDR on.

I don't think this is me disliking HDR, but maybe I'm wrong because I have nothing to compare it to. When I turn off the HDR on my TV, the 4K disc looks significantly better. That, or maybe my player is actually taking over and utilizing the HDR correctly or better than the TV actually is? I have an UB-820. I don't know. I don't really have the money to upgrade my TV right now so, am I just screwed on 4K discs ATM and should just stick to Blu-rays? Thoughts?

Best options for 85"

I'm coming from a Sony XBR-75X900F, so I haven't shopped around for new TVs in years. I'm considering stepping up to an 85" or something in between. I sit about 10ft from my TV. I watch mostly streaming TV/Movies, no gaming. I'd like to stay around or below $2k. What are my best options? Is there anything that just came out I should look at? Thanks!

Need some advice

I have a 9 year old Vizio LED TV right now, and I am wanting to repair it due to my windows drowning out the tv during the day. I’m wanting to stay around 1k for a 75 inch. From what I’ve seen online it looks like a Mini-LED is what I need with my current situation. I can get a Samsung QN90D for 999.99 at best buy right now. Will that help with the light pollution? Or will I be in the same boat with a new TV? If Mini-LED is the way to go, is the Samsung a good choice? Or is there something better for the same price point. Thanks in advance!

Someone three months ago said “QM8K 65” is the best value for money now”, does that still stand for someone in a budget.

Basically the title, looking for one under 1500 aud knowing I won’t get an OLED for it/ really want to know if mini LED or QLED over OLED is actually a deal breaker for 75”

Good Deal Samsung S85F 55 QD OLED for $729?

Hey guys,

Been doing a lot of research on going from a QLED to a QD OLED. The TV will be in the bedroom with not direct windows hitting it and pretty dim most of the time. Looked at the C5,B5 and the S85F. As I did really want the C5 I just couldn't justify the $360 more. For $729 would you pull the trigger on the S85F QD OLED?

Is the sony bravia 8 ii worth $700 more than the bravia 8

From what i can tell the the 8 ii has better colours and is brighter but is there anything else worth the money

Say for example i know the bravia 9 has a backlit remote while the rest dont and some of the sonys have metal legs while some have plastic, i know that is a small difference most people wont care about but its something that just makes it more worth the price difference

S95F worse motion interpolation that 2018 C8???

Hey guys. I bought myself a new 77 inch samsung S95F, coming from a 55 inch LG C8 from 2018. I could not find a good price for the LG or sony so I went for the samsung.

A quirk of mine is i absolutely love the “soap opera effect” and motion smoothness. So I always turn the de-judder to 10 on every TV. (dont hate me)

I watched the movie Babylon (2022) last night on the new S95F in 4k hdr bluray. I was really excited but it had a lot of bad artifacts during fast panning shots. There is one in the beginning of the movie where the camera pans to an elephant and literally half the screen is shaking for a split second. I tried to ignore them thinking it is a very fast paced movie compared to most and it might be normal. THIS ARTIFACT IS STILL VERY VISIBLE AT 3/10 DEJUDDER!!!!!!!

Then I went and put on the movie in my old c8 from 2018 out of curiosity. I am absolutely devastated. There are no artifacts in the panning shots and the movement is smooth. Not a single artifact in the elephant scene either. I had to double check the motion settings as I could not believe it, and yes the de-judder was on 10 as I always watched it.

HOW can something like this be possible. I am really heartbroken, a 7 years newer flagship model vs a midrange oled, i expected it to blow it out of the water in every aspect.

Now i know most people dislike motion settings, but are there people like me who like it that faced these issues? What should i do? Do you have any recommandations of content to compare these two tvs further in artifacts? Maybe in some content the samsung performs better and the lg worse? I also saw a VERY bad artifact at some point watching Barbie on the samsung, im afraid to put it on the lg now but i will do it lol

I know the usual sentiment that samsung has the worse processing but it shouldnt be on this level. Most reviews say its great. Does anyone have some insight on this issue? I still got like 2 more weeks to return it but wouldnt want to rush my decision

Samsung 75 inch, QN80F , at sale at our local Costco for $800, is that a pretty good deal?

upgrading from a mega slow black friday tv, not trying to break the bank but willing to pay up to $1500 if OLED is really worth it. Just going to be watching shows, movies and sports, no real gaming and stuff that needs really good 4k

S90F or QM8L

I bought an open box s90f in excellent condition from bestbuy. I am waiting on them to order the stand because they can't find it. Anyways while waiting I see the new QM8L is on sale already at bestbuy (85inch) for $3k. Should I stick with the oled s90f (83 inch woled panel) or spend an extra 600 bucks and get the new qm8l? Not a lot of comparisons out there because it just came out (qm8L).

Should I commit or keep searching?

I’ve been looking for a LED for general use in my bright living room and an OLED to use for gaming. Best Buy currently has a brand new 75” QN90D for $999 and the Samsung website has a 65” S95F for $1574. Should I? Or should I keep searching?

Please help decide which of two is best.

Samsung 98 Inch Crystal UHD DU9000

vs

Samsung QE98Q7FAAUXXH

Approx 98-inch diagonal and at least 120Hz refresh rate are my main requirement. But Samsung QE98Q7FAAUXXH is QLED, is it not? So much better than UHD DU9000 (UHD LED LCD) ?

I've been using a 1080p projector for years, but it's only usable in the evening and is noisy. I've been considering upgrading to a modern projector but I don't want to anymore. Just a 4K TV, it will do. Me and my girlfriend of 7 years have this ritual of watching movies together almost every evening, as well as playing coop split-screen games together. So 120Hz will be a very nice upgrade from 60Hz I currently have.

Budget is 2000 euros max. European Union. These two models I mentioned are what I have locally available right now. Seems to my uneducated mind like best contestants.

Please share your opinion! Thank you!
