New to Apple TV just purchase the one w the Ethernet port , any HDMI recs ? I’ll get whatever works good for

I was gifted a LG 75” QNED82A and UTs not too bad but I feel I’ve been encountering issues with the Base TV apps lagging , freezing sometimes , being slow , I use paramount for UFC and Prime , ESPN for sports stuff , movies and shows on Netflix look and feel great. Should I get a 4K fire stick or something ? I’m pretty sure it’s not my internet as I have Verizon and it’s very fast , some people said even Ethernet’s might not be as good as you think for TVs. Another opinion is returning the TV to Best Buy and getting something in the $750 range . Any advice helps !
