Hey guys I’m looking into getting a manual 135i with the n54 but wanted to get some feedback on this one before I start sending the guy messages, his description is
Timing was just completed a few days ago Less than 500 miles on the current setup (probably a complete lie)
Upgrades and maintenance include:
* Upgraded Vargas twin turbos
* 5” intercooler
* Mishimoto radiator
* Walnut blast completed
* New injectors
* Berk exhaust system
* VRSF downpipes
* Upgraded charge pipe
* Water pump & thermostat replaced
* Rear main seal done
* ACT Stage 3 clutch installed
* Fresh engine oil, transmission fluid, and differential fluid
* New engine mounts, transmission mount, and diff mounts
*On bc coil overs
I’m missing stuff…
The car is on Stage 2+ and comes with MHD (with login/password). Never dyno’d, so you can put it on one if you want to see exact numbers.
A lot more has been done — this car is ready for another 150k miles. Maintenance is fully up to date.
He’s asking 12.5k which I think is too much considering the motors at 150k miles, he also mentions he didn’t really use much of the power and kept it from 300-460hp give or take, not to mention the seats are cooked. Just want some feedback if I should even bother messaging this guy
A post to share anything you've done to (or with!) your 1er over the last week. New parts, maintenance, detailing, road trips, track days, anything else you can think of.
^(Mod note: testing something here. We might be a bit too small to really sustain these posts weekly but figured it's worth a try. Feedback welcome via) ^(Modmail)^(.)

Yo! I’m looking for a new daily that is reliable and also fun and wanted to hear you guys out on any possible feedback or insight for my situation (I am in Cali btw). Currently i’m stuck between getting a 2013 135i (n55) mt, or a 2022 m340i (b58). As it is i currently have around 27k saved up and i would be buying either of these cars cash. With the amount I have right now i can easily purchase the 135i now and the ones ive been looking at are under 70k miles. If i were to get the m340i id have to wait until around december this year until i have the cash saved up and the ones ive been looking have around 30k miles (which is around the 40k price range). I love the way both cars look and the fact they both offer a lot of aftermarket support. I’m very open minded and would love to hear you guys out on your opinions, i’m just overall trying to get outside opinions/ recommendations. If there’s any cars outside of these two within my price range that you feel are worth it please feel free to lmk.
My custom 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust system I had made by my exhaust guy. Bought a titanium Greddy muffler, had it cerakote’d because raw titanium looks outrageous and than dropped off the muffler and resonator to my guy who whipped up the full exhaust. Going back next week with V-band clamps to make it 2 pieces. Sounds absolutely amazing, no drone. It’s got a catless downpipe so no cats, only resonator and muffler.
Comfort me please
I recently bought an E82 125i. I know that a common mod they do on these cars is to install the 3 stage intake manifold from the x30i models.
Can anyone confirm if my car has the 3 stage intake manifold? It looks like a DISA valve on the inside maybe?
Any reliable tune to install to increase the power?
I also noticed some holes. Please check the last 2 photos. No idea what was there. Also wasn't there supposed to be the power steering reservoir near that place?
Any help/info is much appreciated.
Thanks
Replaced my trunk light because it was broken like every other one. I went with Brock Parts because I saw the Amazon ones are definite dog shit, well this isn't much better. I still had to remove the tab from the trunk lid along with having to shave down a mold line that went all the way around the entire light housing before it would even fit all the way in. And to wrap it up the gasket is ass and the lens sticks out further than the trunk, out of 5 I give it a meh. At least it works...for now.
This could help out those w lowering springs that have too much front end rake.
Back in the day, some of us e30 owners would install e90 top hats to lower the front end a bit more (rear arches on an e30 sit a bit lower, resulting in a janky ride height). I had some Vogtland lowering springs kicking around (951028) and decided to try a budget/daily driver set up w Bilstein B4s. Rides really nice. Anyways, I used e30 front strut top hats to help deal w the lower rake. No issues so far so if you want to raise the front a small amount, e30 top hats and new spring pads are definitely an option.
Recently grab a cheap 116i as a 2nd car, love it!
However, it’s a bit sluggish when pulling away, especially on a cold start. I don’t want to drive around in sport mode the whole time but wouldn’t mind it being a bit more responsive.
I’ve done an oil change and new spark plugs. Is there any sensors or anything that might need cleaning or resetting to help make it a bit more perky?
Im a girl sort of getting into cars my brothers a mechanic and my ex had an e36 so I started getting into cars!! My last car pos (ford escape 2008) trans blew been looking to get a Beamer ever since. I want some hp but not trying to break the bank too much, like the 135 and the 128 but theyre rare and a lil pricey. I also have been wanting a e39 the 540, which option should I pick? Im in between the 135 and the 540, stock 1 series makes 50hp more im pretty sure but the 540 is so classic and timeless i just don’t know. 2 great cars but give me your guys opinions it matters!!!
Looking to purchase a 2010 135i M package with 26k miles
ran a pre purchase inspection and front and rear shocks/struts need to be replaced also rear main seal is leaking. What would be a good price for this?
