Every “-ist” and “-phobe” word is overused.
I’ve seen people with multiple kids get called an incel. I’ve seen multiracial people get called racist. The list goes on and on. Remember when people got “Nazi” keyed into their Teslas just because Elon Musk is the CEO?
I believe that all of these buzzwords have lost their meaning. People use them incorrectly. They call people them way too frequently. And honestly? I’m sick of it.
No Sarah, Joseph isn’t a pedophile supporter because he likes XYZ politician. Ryan isn’t racist because he’s proud of his culture. Yes, it’s possible to disagree with someone without being a bigot.
Egyptian History Is Not Black History
I see a lot of African American people (Subsaharan Africans) try to claim Egyptian history as their own. They will say Egyptians were African! We came from the Egyptians! I even see a lot of non-African people attempt to attribute Egyptian history to African Americans.
The truth is quite different. The most similar modern ethnic group to the ancient Egyptians according to DNA testing is the Coptic Christians. In other words, the Egyptians were closer to middle eastern people than to black people.
I took a class called “Introduction To Ancient Civilizations” and the teacher kept showing us Egyptian history and asking us how this demonstrates “black empowerment.” How is Egyptian history empowering when it’s not your history?
Anyways. Sorry to go on the tangent. No hate towards Subsaharan Africans either. You guys got your own history and accomplishments. My argument is just a criticism of historical inaccuracy, appropriation, and the intellectually illiterate.
Supremo Italiano Potential Trans Fat?
Hey everyone. Every morning I consume 6 eggs drenched in olive oil. I took an Omega-3 index test, and to my surprise, I had very high levels of a trans fat. This was unusual for me because I always cook and eat at home. I use olive oil for everything, so it’s the only thing that would make sense to be giving me trans fats. Are there any databases I can use to look up the quality of Supremo Italiano? I’m trying to prove to my family that it’s a low quality olive oil and probably cut with hydrogenated oils.
Does anyone else supplement alpha linolenic acid?
Hey everyone! For some reason, every type of EPA and DHA supplement gives me brain fog. Doesn’t matter if it’s from algae, krill, fish, you name it. For this reason, I recently started supplementing the precursor, ALA (with flaxseed oil), to make sure my body has at least what it needs to make EPA and then DHA.
On another note, there seems to be some independent health effects of ALA supplementation beyond its precursor role to making EPA. People who consume >3g daily have a decreased all cause mortality (lower risk of dying). Would you consider ever supplementing with it?
The World Is Exactly The Same As It Was Thousands Of Years Ago
What are your go to music theory books?
They can range from beginner friendly to complex. Please include what level they are at. I’m trying to get started and relearn the basics. Thanks!
Body Count Is Dirrectly Correlated With Relationship Success
Studies suggest that people with higher body counts are more likely to get divorced, more likely to cheat on their partners, and more likely to be unhappy in relationships. For these reasons, I think it’s completely reasonable to want someone with a smaller body count.
Disclaimer: these might trends, but there are outliers. You can have a high body count and never get divorced, cheat, or be unhappy, and you can be a virgin and get divorced, cheat, and be unhappy.
Why Does Music Sound Good?
I took a class in music theory years ago, and I remember learning about chord progressions and perfect 5ths. Why do certain noises (such as the ones I listed) sound pleasing to the human mind?
I’m interested in the neuroscience behind this question as that’s what my background is in. In my research, I keep trying to find the evolutionary science behind why humans evolved to like certain noises, but most of the theories are unconvincing to say the least.
How To Oppose Antisemitic Talking Points?
Hey guys!
I am someone who’s very religious. I believe that Jews have the right to have a homeland, and that the role of the Jewish people is to be a “light to the nations” (Isaiah 42:6).
Whenever I argue with antisemites about topics relating to the Palestine-Israel conflict, AIPAC lobbying, or American involvement in the Iran conflict, I struggle to hold my ground.
How should I approach antisemitic debates? I am someone who strongly values data, so please share with me numbers! I want to hear all your talking points.
Why Do Conservative Comments Get Downvoted To Oblivion?
Why do actually conservative comments get downvoted so much on this subreddit? I saw someone say the government should ban abortions and it had 20 downvotes. I was under the impression conservatives were supposed to be in this subreddit. Am I missing something?
Reddit Is A Liberal Echo Chamber
I am new to Reddit. So I am merely sharing my experience. I’ve had my account for a while (just to research random stuff), but only recently begun posting. What I have discovered is that Reddit doesn’t have free speech. Every other post I put up gets removed within 15 minutes.
I’ve noticed the algorithm on Reddit is primarily Liberal-leaning. The comments that are upvoted the most tend to be Liberal. The comments that get downvoted to oblivion tend to be more conservative or centralist.
I can’t help but compare my Reddit experience to that on X. While using X, I have found that the majority of posts boosted by the algorithm are right-wing in nature. However, there is still free speech. You can post anything and chances are it’ll stay up.
I wish Reddit was politically unbiased, because it is the best available forum. It has a plethora of amazing information every topic you can think of. But when everything is politically polarized, you just get kind of sick and tired of scrolling on the app. There needs to be a balance.
Jewish Ancestry In G25 Coordinates
Hey everyone. Is there any Jewish admixture in this sample?

DNA Results
Hey everyone!
I’ve been very interested in Judaism for years now. However, I don’t really feel accepted for my beliefs. I had an ex that was Jewish, and she’d always say I’m not Jewish whenever I brought up God or Judaism. I have friends that are Jewish, and even though they’re pretty supportive and teach me a lot about Judaism and being Jewish, they’ve make subtle comments insinuating I’m not Jewish. To each their own, honestly. I understand why people don’t consider me Jewish, as the ancestral aspect plays a big role in being Jewish since Judaism is an ethnoreligion. Nevertheless, it makes me sad that people don’t consider me Jewish, since I’ve dedicated a lot of time to becoming well versed in Judaism.
Anyways, I’m here to share my DNA results from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, FamilyTreeDNA, and GEDmatch. I am ethnically Greek, and it shows in my DNA results. However, whenever I use genetic calculators to find my genetic distance to various ethnic groups, Jewish always seems to come up. If you guys want me to post any other tests from GEDmatch, don’t hesitate to ask!
Omega-3 Causing Brain Fog
Why does any form of DHA and EPA supplementation induce brain fog for me? I read it could be due to rancid fish oil, so I changed brands and still have the same issue. Everything I’ve read on DHA suggests it should be helping brain function, not causing brain fog so I’m confused.
