Boy oh boy I didn’t think I need it but here I am I finally upgraded to BenQ Screenbar Halo 2. First thing I design my setup mainly for gaming im a huge gamer and I enjoy doing desk setup as well. I don’t work from home but sometimes I do use it for team calls and that’s about it. Ive had a light bar but I never owned BenQ Halo lightbar. I mainly use it when I get in the dark which I prefer, I love the look of warm lighting during night and minimal lighting. I just move to a new house but since Halo 2 also has a built in bias lighting at back I decided to ditch my Govee light bar for my new setup and just use the Halo 2 back light instead. Its my first time running a dual monitor and I was trying to decided how should I setup the new Halo 2 and at the end of the day I made the decision to keep the light at the center of both of my monitor.
I just want to give my short review about this light bar because honestly I love it, ive been eyeing on this for awhile now but I just never thought I will need the upgrade. But man first thing the unboxing experience feels like im opening a premium piece of tech. the weight feels great the details and each parts gave me that wow factor. I never had this wireless controller before and after learning how to use it its another great addition to my setup. Compared to my old Quintis that I bought so far this lightbar is a league ahead I love how I can save a color preset setting that I want, the wireless controller have a screens that shows you what the exact color temp you currently using. But my favorite part about Screenbar Halo 2 is the auto detect feature, again I never had anything like this so this was such a game changer, I can now just walk to my desk and the front and back light would automatically aluminate the area I interact the most. Also this Screenbar is bright as hell, Its way brighter than my previous lightbar. Currently I have the backlight set to about 50 % and at front I have it set to a low 10% and currently using 3550 kelvin. But sometimes I keep the front off while having the back light on. I also have other smaller lights around me so it just feels right. I think if youre the type of person who works and game at your desk a lightbar is a must, honestly its just a great device to help to also help your eyes and it looks great on desk.
