Sterling Silver vs Platinum for Men's Ring

  1. Does Platinum have worth or value like sterling silver? Because speaking of silver, it's like gold AND silver if you know?

  2. Is Platinum more durable in the long term? Will it get any scratches or deteriorate over time like sterling?

  3. If I want that "ring" to last a long time, I'm talking about a decade (10 years plus) is sterling silver not recommended? If not, then what material would YOU recommend?

Thanks guys. It'll help me a lot more in decisive making.

Just bought a silver ring w/ gemstone on top... Did I get scammed?

I've had people saying that the cutting is pretty awful on this lot so I'm quite worried 🙁 I plan on wearing the ring for everyday wear when going out in public

Bought the whole ring for measly ~$128 bucks

Gemstone:

- Type: Corundum

- Color: Deep Royal Blue

- Cutting: Oval Cut

- Carat: 5c

- Dimension: 10x12mm

Accent Stones:

- Cubic Zirconia

- 20 Pieces

- Hearts and Arrow Cut

Net Weight: 10 grams

Silver: 925 (with engraving)

My question is if I overpaid for this ring... I don't buy "craftsmanship" bullcrap.

FSMOne RSP Stamp Fee Charge

My budget is RM400 monthly.

  1. RSP VWRA for RM400 (balanced, no brainer)

  2. RSP VWRA for RM200, VUAA for RM200 (RM400 total)

  3. RSP VUAA for RM400 (not recommended because of tech)

---

Now I know that Wahed is making profits off of you.

They charge their "robo" and platform fee to do your dirty work of trading.

Let's not forget that the ETFs that they're investing in ALSO have fees.

So Wahed platform fee + ETF fee = nightmare

When buying your own ETF, you'd only have to deal with a management fee, which all ETFs have so you can't really escape. The % depends on how you think of that ETF and your risk appetite. If you think it's worth it in the long shot, then go for it.

---

I'm struggling to choose between VWRA and VUAA. VWRA is balanced, not only in the US but also in Japan and many other countries. VUAA on the other hand is focused on tech. This all sounds very confusing to me.

I might have to deduct RM400 to RM200 every month due to my expenses.

What I meant is, I can do RM400 for 5 months. The other 7 months I might need to shimmer down to RM200 at the lowest so I'll need to edit FSMOne's RSP plan.

Also, this probably sounds bad but if you want to average out the purchase price you'd have to do it multiple times in a month. But remember that there is a stamp fee for every purchase you make.

<RM1000 = RM1, >RM1000 = RM2 and so forth

If you were to purchase 4 times in a month (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd) then it will cost you RM4 but you'd be able to even out the price if it drops. However, if you RSP RM400 for one month it'll only be RM1. Yes, such a little deal and it's not much but think of it this way: I'd rather use the ASNB app to deposit my ringgits than to use TNG's service and be charged RM1 for using their service EVERY time. 4 months = RM4 (TNG>ASB) or RM16 (RSP) if 4 times every month VS RM1/m (just once).

there's accent stones, 20pcs and are made of high cut (hearts and arrow) cubic zirconia

got them for ~$128 so not sure if i overpaid or not

the ring is sterling silver (925) and overall weight of the ring is 10grams incl. the gemstone itself

FSMOne RSP into VWRA: A Bright Future Ahead for Youngsters?

i have started to DCA into VWRA

- registered my own account under my name

- setup RSP of rm200 monthly (won't be any misses, i am fully in)

Is this a good idea for the long-term?

- target aim: 5-10 years (5 years on checkup, 10 years if it's really good or great) i will check on daily, won't hesitate or rush to withdraw if it drops or stays. i will do so in 5 years time. I believe it is a slow game.

i have tried out everything. versa, wahed, etc but these have expensives fees and will eat up eventually is what others have said.

My question now is:

- when i sell my fractional shares that i bought from the rsp programme, will there be any disadvantages or fees or losing values?

- is it better to stick to 1 etfs or multiple etfs and apply rsp for them? (have read that it isn't a good idea, but i was thinking both fsmone and moomoo rsp but not certain)

I understand that fsmone will charge when rsp via conversion which im totally fine with

Just thinking that if FSMone no longer has the 0% rsp fee promotion I want to withdraw all lol but let's hope that won't happen or if the company goes bankrupt

in regards to moomoo,i find it very confusing to use the app overall. Some say that it's a "trading" app and that fsmone is a long term investment app. if i want to own 1 share, then i must follow the market price, is that correct? if lets say $HLAL is at $70USD right now then id have to make a deposit of RM275 just to own 1 share (not fractional)? I'm not really a fan of the UI and a bunch of other crappy stuff that they're throwing at my face but that's about it really

Thanks a lot you guys

Understanding Wahed

MooMoo also has wahed ($HLAL).

Also, what is this "new" everyday shariah account?

Investing in US Stocks, Gold and ESA currently

Why? Because I'm moving from Tabung Haji and into Wahed. I left rm1500 in there just enough so that I could reserve the account to be active

Us stock - rm100/m

Gold - rm110/m

ESA - rm200/m

Currently DCAing every weekly/monthly depending on how I'm feeling about it

But know that it's a long term strategy

Also if you have <RM30K then it's fine for Wahed I "believe" or correct me if I'm mistaken. If you have more then it's not worth it.

Bought the mini 2 and got them. I was able to set it up on my laptop and it worked flawlessly. The only issue I'm facing right now is connecting it to my phone (not working) and the Mimo app.

Mimo app is not detecting the receiver even after the usb c adapter is connected as well. This is very annoying as I'm unable to use my phone to record high quality sound. Is the mic exclusive to certain android devices? The only thing I'm confused about right now is that I was able to connect the transmitter (both of them) to the Mimo app but not the receiver itself?

I've tried everything. Even hold the RX's power button for 6 seconds until the light turns dark blue and beeping. It still isn't detecting.

My device: REALME 12X 5G

Please anyone can help me out on this.

I ordered the mic mini for $80 which is an understandable price considering it's already discontinued. The seller has yet to ship out, is it too late to switch now?

The Mic Mini 2 is also on sale, but for $100, only a $20 difference, which is not a big deal.

I like the covers, and the case has faster charging. There's a possibility of custom covers in the future, which would make the Mic Mini incompatible and irrelevant.

I'm looking forward to buying a silver ring to treat myself

And this is what I've found. It's pre-shipping + they will send me a ring measuring tool first to confirm the size and then will proceed

\- the seller is very responsive and helpful

\- lab-grown sapphire (not certain but it is what it's described)

\- sterling silver 925 ring, rhodium plated

\- for rm505 total in my foreign currency (which is around $128 dollars in USD)

\- i went for plain silver without an antique finish (regardless if worn overtime will tarnish and need to be coated again)

\---

"

Antique finish = nicer, vintage look BUT can fade over time

Non-antique (plain polished silver) = more durable, easier to maintain

since you mentioned you’re going for durability, I would recommend:

Without antique finish (plain silver)

More durable for long-term wear

Easier to maintain and polish back to shine

No risk of the antique effect fading over time

The antique finish looks nice and vintage, but it’s more for style — over time it may fade and require re-finishing.

So if your priority is lasting longer and low maintenance, plain silver is the better choice

"

\---

I've already placed an order, was this a mistake? I have yet to receive the actual ring and am currently waiting for the ring measuring tool.

\---

"

it ranks 9 on Mohs hardness (just below diamond), so it is suitable for daily wear

No, the gemstone itself will not deteriorate or fade. can withstand high temperatures. It keeps its color and structure permanently.

Like any gemstone, it can chip or scratch if hit very hard

With normal daily use, this is very unlikely

simple terms:

It will last for many years and stay the same, not something that wears out easily

you can wear it daily with confidence

The no brainer move is to focus on ASB and max it (RM300K limit). That's what you guys are telling me in the last post. But this is what I've built so far and I don't know what to do or go from bere on out. If you're asking what my plans are?

  1. ASB — DCA every month RM50 every 28th (auto labur, source from GO+ overtime)

  2. Tabung Haji — planning to DCA RM40/month to diversify + decent dividend among ASB

  3. PTPTN — study purposes and good dividend

  4. KWSP — long term play, specifically for retirement. maybe planning on DCA rm30 every month because of high dividend

  5. Go+ — pocket money + easy liquid. get every day returns but ASB better if compared 1 year

  6. Bursa Gold Dinar — can convert to physical + sell/buy anytime + affordable gold prices

  7. Versa — I have 4 investment portfolios. I can afford rm200/month. Split into x4 means each RM50.

  8. StashAway — planning to remove it and focus on Versa more?

  9. KDI — currently not using.

if you're reading this, all im asking is options. what do i need to do to save myself from this? no going back. i.e: withdraw all funds from versa + stashaway immediately
