Shure SM57 Unidyne III Authentic?

Shure SM57 Unidyne III Authentic?

Hi, I sold 2 Shure SM57 Unidyne III on Reverb recently and the buyer believes they are fake and is sending them back for a refund. I believe them to be 100% authentic. I do plan to relist these as such but am curious to know what this community thinks. Are they real or fake? Thanks

First refund request

How should I handle this. I believe these mics are authentic, the buyer does not. The buyer says,

I think the mics are fake, They are too light, the tops don't swivel as they should, they have more handling noise on the mic cable, the machining on the top metal part is larger than the bottom, and the 3 XLR pins are 2 different sizes.

I’m new to this. It looks like I have to refund even though I don’t agree with his assessment. I received these as a gift from a family member no longer living who grew up in the 70’s. I don’t think this gentleman would have purchased fake SM57s

Do these look fake to anyone? Thanks

Need feedback on a sale

Hi I’m selling a mic that is 1250$ brand new for 300$ less at 950$. Do you think that’s low enough to be attractive/doable for buyers who are looking for a high end mic? Thanks for any honest advice!

**All the mics I see under $800 are from outside the US and have significant shipping. Do you think US shoppers might be deterred from buying outside the US? My mic is the lowest $ amount in the country from what I'm seeing...how are you searching? I'm searching "Sennheiser MD441-U"

UPDATE: Thank you everyone for your help! I lowered the mic to $799 and made a video of the mic recording different instruments and it just sold for that price tonight. Thanks for your honest feedback and helping me get this mic sold!

Help me diagnose my 1970’s Sennheiser MD441

I came into ownership of a Sennheiser MD441 from the 70's. It sounds great for spoken audio but when I try to record acoustic guitar or drums it sounds really bad. It sounds like there's something wrong with the mic. I don't know enough about this mic to tell what it might be. I am ready to send it to Sennheiser to have it serviced but wanted to check here first. https://soundcloud.com/david-levi-618207779/sets/sennheiser-example-audio
