Hi there!
I wonder if it’s just me (59 Parts shop) or if it’s s wider problem - I had regular sales on Reverb for years up until the end of January 2026. And then all stopped all of a sudden. Didn’t change prices, lowered shipping costs. Nothing.
Is Reverb dead?

Now obviously I understand this should be taken with a grain of salt.But I ordered a petal through petal pawn in the UK on their reverb store I am in Missouri when I try to track it, it just would say that FedEx did not have that number or to check back later. So I messaged them on reverb, and they sent me a link that link did show some tracking and it's still updating. But it has stalled, since the ninth so I stupidly sent the link to AI and ask it to track it or tell me if it could give me any updates. And it's saying that it's most likely a scam and that I need to request a refund. Is there a chance this is legitimate?And it's just odd and clunky because it's an international shipment and fedex is the american branch of the carrier.Or is this totally definitely a scam?I checked, and it's definitely pedal pawns actual reverb and I've seen no official statement from pedal pawn claiming their rwverb has been hacked someone please help

This is gonna read like a drama post, so please bear with me. It's my first time dealing with someone like this and I'm not sure what to do or expect.

I had an L.R. Baggs M1A for sale. In bold letters of the description I wrote "pickup ONLY" and said it does NOT come with a cable or endpin jack.

I listed the item as "good" as per Reverb's guide of showing wear and tear but fully functional, as the logo as been worn away and there's pick scratches (it's a soundhole pickup after all...)

I obviously had a picture of the pickup I was selling.

Some guy offers to buy it -$25, and I take it because, well, I could use the money. I get it out the door within 2 hours of him buying it, packed in bubble wrap, a box... I provide him with the tracking number immediately. Should be no issues.

So this buyer waits 3 days, after I've received the payout to my bank account, complaining that it didn't come with a "harness" (??). I told him I don't know what he means by harness, but my listing had specifically mentioned it was the pickup only. I tell him my listing description was accurate and he gets mad and says he wouldn't have bought it if he knew it was only the pickup... Okay bozo, learn to read descriptions then.

So then he says I need to refund him another $25 dollars so he can buy one...??? I assume he's talking about an endpin jack.

I tell him no. I try to be polite about it, but it's really testing me. I tell him I ALREADY gave him 25 dollars off when I accepted his offer, and no he wants another 25. (By the way, this M1A was already the cheapest M1A listed on the site by over 100 dollars.) I said I can't give him a 50 dollar discount.

So he responds saying the pickup is "inaccessible"(?????) and that it's damaged and all this nonsense, obviously trying to find an excuse to get this pickup out of me for insultingly low. And says he's going to contact Reverb support.

Now, obviously, I'd love to put my faith in Reverb support to take one look at this situation and see it for the scammy behavior on his end that it is. But my question is, what if they don't? I've already been paid out. I don't have a buyers remorse return policy. My listing was accurate and the pictures were of the actual item. This guy is obviously just throwing a tantrum that I didn't give him a free "harness."

What can I expect moving forward? If it takes deleting my Reverb account that I've had since 2013 over 25 dollars then I'll do it out of spite at this point.

Edit: So I decided to reach out to Reverb customer support first, because I'm really not trying to get scammed or anything, and reported his behavior. A rep took a look at everything and told me that I'm not obligated to refund him anything because my description was, indeed, accurate and made no mention of anything other than the pickup being sold in "good" functioning condition.

Also, I now realize there's confusion about "pickup only." I meant that I was only selling the pickup, not that it was only available for pickup, I was selling a guitar pickup. Lol, sorry for that confusion.

Hi I’m selling a mic that is 1250$ brand new for 300$ less at 950$. Do you think that’s low enough to be attractive/doable for buyers who are looking for a high end mic? Thanks for any honest advice!

**All the mics I see under $800 are from outside the US and have significant shipping. Do you think US shoppers might be deterred from buying outside the US? My mic is the lowest $ amount in the country from what I'm seeing...how are you searching? I'm searching "Sennheiser MD441-U"

UPDATE: Thank you everyone for your help! I lowered the mic to $799 and made a video of the mic recording different instruments and it just sold for that price tonight. Thanks for your honest feedback and helping me get this mic sold!

Sold a piece of equipment last week and it arrived to the buyer damaged. They’re receiving a refund through Reverb since I opted in for the shipping protection. I’m getting the item back so I can get it repaired, but does the buyer’s refund get yanked from my bank account? Sold this item because I’m going through some financial troubles and have already spent the money from the sale. Reverb isn’t very clear on this kind of situation, but maybe I’m not understanding this correctly.

Any anecdotes appreciated!

I recently sold a guitar on Reverb, but I get a message saying "Payments to your account have been paused. Update your account". When I try to update my payment details , I get a message saying "You can't update your account. Contact customer support"

Wtf?? I tried contacting Reverb customer support and theyre doing absolutely nothing about it. It's now a few days overdue. I guess this means I have to just cancel the sale? I can't ship it if I'm not going to ever get paid :'(

Has anyone else had this problem?

The other day I ordered a guitar and today the seller messaged me with pictures of the guitar, asking for final confirmation before they ship it. However, I can't respond to the message because my account was placed under review. I have no idea why but if I had to guess it's because my account was inactive for 3 years and then I had a few failed logins when my new password didn't save correctly. I also use a third party web browser that a lot of websites mistaken for bot activity so probably something to do with those. But anyways I never received the email that reverb claims it sent to me about the next steps, and when I try to contact support their chatbot says it opened an email thread, but again I don't see those either, unless they only open up when one of their people responds to it.

I bought an op-z last week. It’s been 8 days and i don’t think the seller actually knows they sold it. There’s no tracking on the order and I’ve tried to message them with no success. Is there anything else i can do but keep messaging them and hoping they notice?

I ordered a bass on February this year. The item wasnt delivered for more than a month. There was an investigation but it was pretty much decided that the item was in limbo and probably lost. I requested for a refund in April and the seller was very nice about it. He mentioned that he will contact his insurance company and the refund went through. Today, I received news that I need to pay duty for this incoming shipment. What should I do?

Just ordered the new Lerxst analog kid pedal that came out literally yesterday. Went a little too quick and it autofilled my old address. I wanted to log in and change it but every time I did the order wasn’t under my orders. Then what do ya know, now my account is under review. I request a refund and the seller responds saying they can change the address and I need to send the right one to them. Try to reply to them via email but can’t cause it’s a no reply message email through reverb. Try to contact the seller through the platform but I’m not allowed to send messages while under review. The pedal is supposed to arrive the 12th already and I CANT DO ANYTHING!! The chat bot is no help. Anyone know another way to contact reverb or a seller?
