Do you use AI meeting assitants? How is the privacy point with that?

I've been strugling with managing many customers, meetings and what we discussed on that. The problem is I can't rely on cloud providers since these informations are sensitive.
Is it just me or everybody are into the same?

Memora - Privacy focused meeting assistant

Recently I've been working on Memora. My second brain for meetings, all running locally. From transcription, to meeting prep, to chat with AI for past context. I had such great results with it and now I'm making it available.

One-time payment. No subscriptions.

I built my second brain for meetings. It’s a one time payment, no monthly subscription. Check it for free.

I used to struggle in taking notes during meetings, remembering things later, finding what I had to do for X person, what I agreed with Y person.
Now I solved my problems with this app I built with the goal to be my brain for meetings. During/after a meeting it does automatic transcriptions, summary, action items.
If you don’t remember something you can ask the AI chat in natural text things like “What was decided in the Sprint Planning a month ago?” and it will go through your meeting history and find it for you.
An interesting point is that I can also connect with my Notion, where I take all my notes, and now these notes are also part of this brain as a source of knowledge.
Now the best part: everything running locally, nothing goes to cloud services. No bots joining meetings, no data going to cloud providers. Privacy at maximum.

A one time payment (if you are sick of monthly payments, so this is for you) with half of the price for the first users.

First day of release - 1k + access and 0 customers - The bad decision I did launching my App

Yesterday I released my Desktop App and I was 100% sure people would pay for it.
Local-first meeting assistant, focused on privacy and one-time payment. Your second brain for meetings. The selling point was huge.
I published in a few places and got 1k+ access. A small percentage downloaded the app (around 50). But no one bought it.
My bad decision was adding a hard paywall. User should pay to test my app. I didn't add a free tier, I didn't add a free trial.

After thinking why it didn't sell anything, I came to the conclusion that this is the kind of app that people must see working and getting value from, before sending money to it.

That's why today I already changed my strategy and added a 7 day free trial for users to test my app and check if it help them! Hopefully convertion will start to appear after that change.

Do you guys really care about privacy for AI meeting apps? Would you prefer running everything locally with maybe less accuracy but nothing leaves your machine, or pay for cloud providers to process your data for better accuracy?

I’m building a tool for meetings focused on privacy and running everything locally in your machine, from transcription, to summary, action items and an AI chat that you can ask anything about any meeting you had. No bot ever joins your meetings. The problem is that it’s heavy to run and require a good machine. I’m thinking if I should stick with that goal or if I should switch to process everything in cloud instead of user’s computer.

What’s your opinions?
