My friend got a cp24 letter about a mysterious overpayment of several hundred dollars. I helped her try to track it down. We looked online and one of her 1099R is not posted there but on the letter all the monies from the known 1099R are accounted for including distributions and tax withholdings.

They’re still a matter of them saying they’re gonna send a check for several hundred dollars

Will the “missing” 1099R document still show up online ?

Was it good advice to tell her to wait till she got the check and then just hold onto it and if IRS don’t send another correction letter then give him a call?

I cross checked it several ways and where that overpayment could’ve came from we no idea.

I have an SE3 on iOS 26 and the Yahoo Weather app does not work anymore since I was upgraded to 26. My friend has an S2 on iOS 26 and the Yahoo Weather app that he just installed works OK

I tried all the usual and recommended remediation. Nothing seems to work for me on this topic.
