Finally got myself into a '23 M3 RWD. 22k miles. Drives and looks brand new. My ideal color was blue, but I'm happy I at least got the premium wheels on it!
I did so much research prior to this purchase and ultimately decided the LFP battery was the best for me. I needed something that would save me money in the long-term, while also being bullet-proof reliable as I'm planning on driving it till the wheels fall of (saving up money for a house). Only thing I am currently concerned about is the battery degradation in the long-term but I hope that worry subsides with time.
I finally understand the hype. The Tesla fanbase always seemed "culty" to me and I never understood why they felt so strongly about their vehicles but after a week of driving this thing, I completely get it. This car made all other ICE vehicles I've driven feel extremely outdated. The best analogy I can come up with right now is I feel like I've had a flip phone all my life, and I just got an iPhone. I was worried the RWD model would be too slow compared to my previous car, but that instant torque really does put a smile on my face every time and it's zippier/more nimble than I anticipated.
Incredibly happy and blessed to be able to make this post, thank you all for the knowledge you've given me over the past couple of months. I sourced a lot of data from this subreddit.
I ordered a few things online to maintain the integrity of the car long-term and enhance the overall experience.
My only question is this: Do you think I should run a battery health test to see where the battery is at now? I know I probably sound overly concerned about this, but this is my only point of anxiety with these types of vehicles. I've heard that running the test can negatively impact the battery health.
Hello Everyone! I have this unfortunate damage to my Model 3 on my rear Driver's side and am in the process of obtaining quotes. I'm trying to avoid going through insurance but will if I have to. Does anyone have experience with Tesla Collision center? Also, has anyone had any similar damage to these pictures? If so, how much did you roughly spend? Thanks for any insight!
Hi All,
I live in Midwest. Currently we own rav4 and we also own 2010 prius which is starting to give some issues. We drive CX5 to commute daily for work. We drive 30 miles a day for work (60 in total per day).
I found 2023 model 3 for $28K with 5k miles. How do I justify if I am making good decision by spending that much money. We earn reasonably well (around $250k annually). We do have 8 car payments left on rav4 and have mortgage left to pay around 230K.
I have this sudden urge of getting EV. I am not sure why, but I cannot justify spending that much. As a second vehicle, I was going to replace prius with another used vehicle for $15k.
Any suggestions are helpful
Amazing ownership experience! Picked it up brand new in June 2025. Model 3 2025 RWD
Besides having to reinstall a corrupted spring update yesterday, I’ve had absolutely no issues. Zero maintenance other than a 🛞 rotation. I have 15% t i n t on sides/rear windows, 35% windshield. Zero visibility issues at night.
I have a level 1 charger in my garage which gives me between 3-4 miles an hour. My daily commute is 20 miles so it more than handles my daily driving even with it being very slow. Most of my charging is done at home, with the exception of using supercharging when I’m out driving around all day or for a road trip. See my charge stats on the last slide.
This car is absolutely amazing. I don’t know if I will be able to go back to a regular ICE vehicle after this.
Cool as hell.
Dropped a pin to navigate to my home's driveway, and it pulled right into my garage
Holy shit this works.
Nice and really smooth experience.
This is my first time owning an electric vehicle. I scooped up a model 3 performance in deep blue with white seats. She arrives Saturday. Any ideas as to what to look for/ any tips for a first time electric car owner? I am told that once I go electric I’ll never want to go back.
So I use watch as my key as well as iPhone has the key. When I go to gym, I prefer not to take the phone. So what happens if I walk away with watch but phone is inside Tesla? Will it lock itself if it sees no passengers ?
Bought 3 months ago, inspected the car and the paint was fine, now the paint is peeling where the chipping is. Seems like a paint adhesion issue. I expected rock chips but this seems excessive. Never had a problem with this on any other car. Tesla is hesitant to cover it and I keep getting handed off to other people in the service hierarchy.
2024 Model 3 Performance 20k mostly highway FSD miles
I’ve bought an 2026 M3, everything standard. How long are people waiting for theirs to arrive in Australia? I’m in Perth and the wait is killing me
I've had my Model 3 for about a year now and I genuinely love Autopilot on highway drives. But the constant "Apply slight turning force" nag is making me not want to use it.
I keep my hand on the wheel the whole time. I'm paying attention. But every 30 seconds it wants me to prove it by torquing the wheel, and half the time it doesn't even register my input so I have to jerk it harder.
On a 3-hour highway drive last week it nagged me soo many times. At some point it's more distracting than just driving manually lol.
Is this still a thing for everyone or did I miss a setting somewhere? I don't have FSD, just basic Autopilot. Curious if this bothers other people as much as it bothers me or if I'm just being dramatic.
Shoutout to this sub for helping me spot a sneaky little panel gap before delivery 😭 y’all saved me from pulling up clueless.
I pick up the car tomorrow and I’m actually so hyped I can barely sit still. Tesla already responded and said they’re taking care of everything before I get there, and the tech was super professional about it, so we’re feeling GOOD.
I’ll post an update with delivery pics tomorrow… hopefully with perfectly aligned panels and a big smile on my face 😌
Again this is my second M3 (first one 2018 Mid-Range)..
Appreciate y’all fr ❤️
Im looking to buy a base model 3 and found one with 26k miles for $24,800. You guys think thats a good deal? Im in California
Car’s pretty clean, no accidents or other issues
I have recently taken a position that requires a twice weekly commute of about 99 miles one way. Not ideal but it’s twice a week I can’t complain. I only charge to 100% if i’m making a long journey once in a blue moon but with this commute would it be ok or wise to charge twice a week to 100% and than the normal 80% for any other charge that’s needed.
I’m hoping someone can share some advice on how to fix this.
I installed the new spring update on my 2025 M3 yesterday. After installing and getting in to go to work, my phone key wasn’t allowing me to shift the car out of park. I just used my backup keycard and went on my way.
While driving, this TPMS fault started flashing.
Went into service mode, and also saw a red flag on the Bluetooth connection (vcsec_a200_endpointlostcomm).
Fixes I’ve already tried:
- Manually powering off/restarting the car
- Reinstalling the Tesla app (for the phone key issue). Phone key will not pair as it doesn’t recognize I’m in my car
- Continuing to drive in an attempt to reset the TPMS (I’ve driven 30 miles above 25 MPH as recommended)
It’s still under warranty so I went ahead and scheduled a service appointment for next Monday in the event I can’t fix it myself. Has anyone run into this issue and have a fix for it?
Thanks in advance
Bought a 2023 M3 LR RWD with 26k kilometers couple days ago and I've quite enjoyed it so far. Really efficient and definitely lives up to its Long Range naming. I will charge my battery at max 60% for daily drives and only charge it full before long trips. My average efficiency has been hovering from around 100 to 120 wh/km. I wonder how many of these RWD LR examples were sold in Europe?
