My personal hell

My personal hell

I went to pick up a something from fb marketplace today at this condo without doors. The garage doors are the doors.

Edit: for all asking yes there is a “front door” on the other side that opens to a big ditch in front of a major highway.

“Mommy’s little Helper”. 9 month glow up with my baby Thoroughbred mare

May when I first brought home a 5yo unraced tb mare with no idea what she will be other than she’s going to keep me from losing my mind this year. I’m a twin toddler mom and I had just had to give up the ride on my last horse due to missing spine.

Bottom picture is this morning as I’m about to ride her while my husband took the kids to the grocery store. I’m obsessed with watching their bodies change and develop, and optimizing feed and management for the calmest, happiest and sweetest horses.

Bottom picture is BEFORE i groomed her as well.

Please post area and time of year!

I’m looking for ideas and find it so hard to find big picture gardens in all their messy glory

Mine is in the Appalachian foothills in sc- mostly sc plants grow well in my full sun garden and mountain plants grow in the shade areas.

This was taken April 25th.

Most of my plants are summer bloomers but I’m slowly adding in more spring and fall.

We are on day 2 of a loose oh crap method with my 27mo twins

Twin A has dribbled in the potty multiple times and actually does communicate when he needs to go which is awesome. But he won’t let it fully flow while sitting.

He sits, dribbles, stands, sits, dribbles, stands, runs off, says “I’m pooping!” Sits, dribbles. And just overall seems uncomfortable

Then he’ll stand with his legs spread and let out a full puddle of pee.

Should we switch to teaching him to pee standing instead? Any advice for how to help him pee sitting down?

My common milkweed patch is lovely in the summer but I spend fall through spring fighting the Bermuda and weeds that grow inbetween and around them. Is there some kind of ground cover or other plant I can plant here that would complement and not out compete the milkweed?

My understanding is the monarchs look for the shape of the milkweed so i wouldn’t want the companion plant to grow as tall ad the milkweeds.
