Been talking to a guy two states over and we've been talking about planning on meeting. I'm 26 and my mom and I live together (not supported by her, I pay more bills than she does). But her, and my entire family are incredibly judgemental and toxic. I just don't want everything to be awkward with my family, having everyone call me stupid and crazy. And I'd never be able to get left alone or hear the end of it. Plus I'd have to ask one of them to drop me off at the airport. I wish I had a mentally stable family who doesn't all shame each other for everything and invades privacy. I really just want to come up with some kind of lie. I absolutely know if things don't work out I'll get relentlessly bullied and called an idiot.

It's majority vegans who brigade because they hate vegetarians. And then rage bait meat eaters. Then maybe like 10% actual vegetarians here to talk about stuff. Then mods defending "open discussion" but they actually just created a toxic rage bait sub.

I walk slow because my back hurts. When I'm with a group of people and everyone walks ahead and leaves me behind it makes me so sad. I just really miss my pre injury body

I work at a zoo in food and beverage and someone, or some group is calling zoos around the country with bomb threats. First one was on Saturday, and it was just terrifying because none of us knew what was happening but I think security did a great job clearing the park and making sure everyone was safe. Then me and my coworker were leading our staff of mostly minors out of the park. We thought there was a shooter or something so it felt like these kids lives were in our hands. The clean up the next day was an absolute nightmare because it was like the building was frozen in time with everything left how it was mid rush. Now it happened again today, this morning. It's scary because even though whoever it is hasn't acted yet who knows if they'll actually do it. Because obviously they're not all there. It's a scary time but I love my job and I don't want to leave it.

Am I the only one who just doesn't see the point? I'm a blunt person in general so if someone asks I just directly say that I do not want children. I just don't understand the need to skirt around with things like "well it's not in our plans right now, or maybe someday in the future." I also don't understand the need to come up with witty snarky responses like just say no and move on. The planet isn't an HR department and it's ok to be direct with people.
