Relaxed fit or athletic fit if I have skinny thighs?

I'm planning to order a pair of the 5 pocket twill pants on Amazon. I currently have a couple pairs of their athletic fit "stretch chinos" and while they're comfortable, they're really baggy in the back of my thighs. I'm wondering if they look weird since they're tapered below the knee or if it's just these specific ones.

I have skinny thighs but wide hips/seat and most pants I've tried are too snug in the crotch and I hate feeling the fabric against me. I have a pair of "classic fit" chinos which also feel too snug. I definitely prefer a looser fit in the seat and a higher rise, but I don't want super baggy pants. I'm 5'11 and 215 pounds with 24 inch thighs and a 45-46 inch seat.

The twill pants are available in athletic fit, relaxed fit, and straight fit.

Which pair do you think would fit best with my proportions?

Any cheap pants on Amazon with a higher rise?

I own a pair of dickies pants, classic fit amazon essential stretch chinos, and athletic fit amazon essential stretch chinos.

The Dickies pants fit ok but they feel really tight in the stomach when I sit down. The classic fit chinos feel fine when standing but get pulled down when I sit and are a bit tight. The athletic fit chinos are my favorite because they are roomy and have a higher rise, but they are really baggy in the thighs.

I have a $30 budget on my Amazon gift card balance. Are there any good pants with a higher rise I can get for that? I like the chino style the best but I just want something comfortable.

Is renting to own a home worth looking into with SSI?

We get SSI and section 8 housing assistance. We've lived in this house for 13 years and have a good relationship with the landlord. We got curious and are wondering if we'd be able to ask the landlord about renting to own since we're not planning on moving any time soon.

However, the process is starting to sound a lot more complicated than we thought. Is this even something worth looking into if we only get SSI and section 8?

Does section 8 allow rent to own a home?

I'm mainly just curious about this. We've lived in our house for about 13 years on section 8 and SSI. We have a good relationship with the landlord. We started wondering about asking the landlord if we could potentially rent to own this house since we've lived here so long, but I'm wondering how that works with section 8 and SSI. Is that something we'd even be allowed to do?

Does chocolate gelato melt faster than others or is it my recipe?

I only have this issue with chocolate gelato, whether it's cocoa or bar chocolate. Like 5 seconds after I put it in the bowl it's sliding around and any part of the gelato touching the bowl melts pretty fast. I've been trying to figure this out for a long time and have had no luck.

Everything seems to be balanced which tells me it has to be related to the chocolate. It doesn't feel too soft or anything in the freezer. I tried lowering the PAC to 26 just in case but all it did was make it harder to scoop. Is this just the nature of chocolate gelato? Here is the recipe for cocoa gelato that I use:

497 grams whole milk

180 grams heavy cream (36% fat)

125 grams sugar

48 grams dextrose

64 grams water

32 grams cocoa powder (11% fat)

50 grams nonfat milk powder

1.5 grams salt

1.25 grams each guar gum and locust bean gum

I add water back to bring it to 1000 grams right before churning which is usually about 50 grams or so.

Would you keep pants that are comfortable but look baggy?

I seem to have weird proportions where I need pants with a wider seat but regular thighs because the "classic" pants I have are too snug. I got some athletic chinos and they're the most comfortable pants I have, but I noticed they are pretty baggy in the back thighs and the fabric back there has a lot of creases and folds as I move and kind of looks like my thighs are inflated or something since they are tapered below the knees. I don't think it's too bad but it's enough to look baggy. It looks better on one side which made me realize my thighs are different sizes. One thigh is 24 inches and the other is 25 inches, while the thighs in the pants measure 28 inches.

I'm not sure if I should keep them. It's been a struggle to find comfortable pants, but I've been trying to find some that are appropriate for work and life and the ones I keep are the ones I have to use. Would you keep pants that are a bit too baggy in the thighs if they're comfortable? How much bigger should the thighs in pants be compared to my actual thighs?

I have 2 pairs of Amazon essentials chinos which are 97% cotton and 3% spandex. They're both about 3-4 inches too long. I have no experience sewing and can only do it by hand, but I'm thinking about hemming these myself since taking them to a tailor would only be a little cheaper than just buying new pants.

So far I've seen two methods for hemming. The first one was to cut a couple inches from each pants leg and then fold it two times about 1 inch per fold, then sewing.

The second method was to just fold the pants inside of each pant leg and then sew it like that.

The second method sounds easier, but I'm wondering how it will look. Would they still have a hem on the outside like they currently have or would they look sloppy? Which one is better for chinos?

I have two pairs of athletic chinos. I got the athletic ones because the other styles were too snug when sitting down and these ones have a lot more room, but there's a bit too much room in the thighs so the fabric in the upper part of my thighs on the back is kind of baggy and bunches up back there a lot.

I don't want to return them because it took me a while to find pants that at least feel comfortable when sitting. I've never done any sewing so I don't really know how it works, but how hard is it to reduce the thigh space by an inch or two? Do you have any good tutorials?

I'm about 30 pounds overweight but am more skinny fat than fat because most of my weight goes to my stomach so I have really skinny arms and legs. I feel like I don't look proportional at all. My shoulders fall forward and I hunch a lot. Standing up straight feels weird and difficult for me and it might be because I just don't have any muscle at all. Pants also fit really weird because I have wide hips so I have to buy athletic fit pants since they have more room, but they're kind of baggy because I don't have big enough thighs for them.

However, I also love to bake and while I'm hoping working out will give me the motivation to fix my diet, I want to know if working out would at least make me more proportional if I focus on my arms and legs even if I don't fix my diet?

It's mainly sweets and bread I struggle with. I don't eat much fast food and I cook pretty much everything I eat.

Every pair of pants I try are too tight, but then one size up are too loose. I finally settled on pants that aren't too big but still loose enough to need a belt or else they fall.

I ordered a second pair, but I'm wondering if it's a bad decision because I haven't technically tried this brand a size down, but I'm pretty sure they'd be too tight like the others. I don't think I'll find any that don't need a belt though unless i spend a lot of money. I don't really know what I'm doing though because this is pretty much the first time I've done clothes shopping as an adult.

Is it normal for pants to be too loose without a belt? Is that just something I should expect?

I got a bag of frozen corn yesterday morning and accidentally put it in the fridge. I just noticed that so it's been in the fridge for about 30 hours or so. Can I put it back in the freezer or is it likely bad now?

I've been baking from Ken Forkish's books for a while and I have great results with the same day breads in evolutions in bread, but I'm struggling with the recipes in Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast even though the hydrations are pretty much identical.

I made the overnight white bread (78% hydration, King Arthur all purpose flour, 0.8% yeast, and 2% salt). I mixed it how he describes and he says it should be 2 1/2 - 3 times it's size after 12-14 hours. After 10 hours, my dough is only about 7cm high (it started at 3.5cm) and it's covered in giant air bubbles on top. It's been about 3-4 more hours and Instead of the dough rising any more than 7cm, the bubbles are just getting bigger.

Why isn't the dough rising any more? I finally shaped it and it's currently proofing. I don't think it was over fermented because I didn't have any issues shaping it.

I have two pairs of chinos from amazon essentials. One is the classic style and the other is athletic. They are both 40 in the waist and 30 length, but for some reason the athletic one is like an inch too long and bunch up at the feet. The athletic ones are way more comfortable in the seat/waist than the classic though so I want to order another pair.

If I get those in a 29 length, will they just be an inch shorter in the legs or will they be shorter in the top part of the pants?

I'm also worried these ones are just a fluke and a 29 length will be too short for me like 29's usually are. Should I just get another 30 and take them to a tailor?

I usually make Dorie Greenspan's graham cracker recipe. My first attempt at making a crust with those used 180 grams graham crackers and 90 grams butter. The second time I used 60 grams butter.

Both times the crust was bubbling in the in the oven and felt too fragile. It also didn't seem to get as crisp as crusts made with store bought graham crackers.

How can I make a crust with homemade graham crackers? How much butter do I need?
