I tried making the armor red. I failed, but I got this color, and I don't think it looks that bad. Would it work?

What to do?

I was trying to make them as red talons. Through a series of unfortunate events*, instead of dark red, I got this brick orange. How do I turn it into dark red? Or should I scrap it and create my own chapter? The free spacemasons? Who build houses for the citizens of the emperium, but also may or may not run the Galaxy.

*How was I supposed to know that black and red makes brown?

How do I make the Red talons color scheme a bit more interesting ?

I'm choosing a chapter for my space Marines, and I really like the red talons. I like their color scheme, the dark red with silver, but I'm a bit afraid it's just gonna be boring and repetitive after a few models. Do you have any ideas/tips how to make it more interesting? Is there something in the lore (idk, different companies or whatever have different markings)?

P.S. by interesting, I mean adding something like a colored arm like the deathwatch or whatever.

P.P.S. where is it possible to get some decals (I have no idea what they are called. I mean those stickers)

I finally got to painting my admech, and I came up with this recipe for highlighting their robes. That is, highlight the bottom rim, and where it curves up, make the highlights higher. I need some feedback. Do you think it looks good?

P.S. I really like this purple. It's super fun to paint
