Best Gravis anti-infantry brick - Heavy Intercessors or Aggressors?

Consider the following - a full squad of each unit in Gladius Task Force, led by a Gravis Captain and/or Apothecary Biologis with Fire Disipline. On paper, which unit is likely going to get the most value out of its points?

My Top 5 Successor chapters as a relative newcomer to WH40K:

  1. Raptors: So my initial favorite chapter in the setting when I FIRST got into it was the Imperial Fists (tbf I still like them, but my favorite legion is like a toss up between them, Sallys and Dark Angels). Anyways, when I first heard about the Raptors I was immediately intrigued, and the more I read about them the more they became my absolute favorites. The camo usage, the guerilla warfare, emphasis on marksmanship and ranged combat, guard collaboration, and generally just an ability to work well with any imperial force because they hold no value in honor and glory; only completion of the objective is a worthy tribute to the Emperor in their view, and I love the hell out of that.
  2. Star Phantoms: Possible Dark Angels successors, though the DA's deny the lineage, I like the Star Phantoms because they have a very interesting chapter cult, or the 'Mortuary Cult' as it's called. They hold the dead in higher regard than those among the living, and embrace the divinity of the God Emperor of Mankind as "Imperator Mortifex" -- judge of the souls of the dead and the keeper of martyrs. Their funeral rites are described as strange and elaborate. They see themselves as divinely ordained killers, and are consumed by the task of bringing death to those that defy the Emperor's will or seek to thwart His holy purpose. Also, they're combat doctrine is just cool as hell. They'll always take the biggest guns that put out the highest damage, have a particular penchant for plasma and melta weapons, and have little to no regard for collatoral damage. This is not the chapter you send if you want a planets infrastructure standing. Their whole Mortuary Cult thing is fascinating, and I like them for how unique their culture is.
  3. Red Scorpions: I mostly like the Red Scorpions for being bros with the Raptors, but I think they're whole obsession with their gene seed purity is pretty funny. Beyond that, I like they're vibe. No nonsense, honor bound. They're a space marine's space marine.
  4. Covenant of Fire: These guys are kind of funny because they seek out knowledge of Imperial lore wherever they can find it... but also burn and purge anything they deem heretical. Devout followers of the Promethean Cult. Interesting chapter that I hope gets expanded on in the future. Sick name and paint scheme.
  5. Crimson Fists: To be perfectly frank, I don't know a ton about these guys. All I know is that whenever I see art of them or see them in any context I think 'Yeah these guys are fucking sick'. They are absolutely vibed tf out. Also they're chapter master looks cool as hell. Honestly I love these guys based on vibes alone. They're just cool, that's it.

Exorcist 1st Company Captain

My terminators were pretty well received so I thought I'd show this Captain I made.

The main components are the Primaris Librarian body, Indomitus Captain arm and relic shield, and an arm from the Bladeguard box.

The hammer, head, and chapter symbol shoulder pad are all 3d prints.

The base is really tall because I went through a phase of wanting higher ranks to have taller bases, but I've abandoned that idea now.

Captain Severus Agemman

This is a little kitbash I made to represent Captain Agemman.

Its based on the Ultramarines Praetor in Cataphractii Armour from Horus Heresy.

I swapped the tilt shield so that I could display Agemman's personal heraldry. I also swapped the combi-melta for a 'plasma blaster' as a nod to Agemman's predecessor Saul Invictus. I swapped out the right shoulder pad because it was too reminiscent of the great crusade and I wanted the model to fit a little more in 40k.

I also made a little modification to the axe for aesthetic preference.

Choosing a a colour combo for my homebrew Space Marines Chapter

I’m currently in the process of creating a Homebrew successor Chapter.

I’m set on the grey being the primary colour for the scheme, but I’m unsure about the contrasting colour.

For reference, my scheme will have consist of mostly grey armour with the entire left arm being the contrasting colour.

I’ve done tests for icey blue, burgundy, verdigris, and bronze.

What do we think?

I’m personally leaning towards either the blue or the bronze but I’d be interested in other people’s input.

(Inspired by u/Thunder-Bolt) My 5 favourite successors

[1.] The Storm Wardens: Insular Celt-inspired (far from just the "Scottish Space Marines" misconception that they're often labled with), this honour-driven warrior culture breeds marines who prioritise wisdom on the battlefield, extensive planning and intel gathering, and even strategic debates prior to taking to the field of battle. But once there, their zeal is obvious, as they speed towards the enemy in armoured transports, supported by artillery to cajole the enemy hordes into position, jumping out, taking their Sacris Claymores to the enemies' throats, and often challening their leaders and champions in one-on-one duels. They're mystery-chasers, too, hungry for more lore and revelation; driven at least in part by their history as a chapter whose first company was frozen in status due to mysterious and unspeakable circumstances. They're known to be particularly accepting of non-standard human variants (Ogryns and the like), which I like. knows for sure who they're a successor of. Some say the Iron Hands, it wouldn't be silly to assume it'd have been the Ultramarines, some even theorise that they're descended from loyalist World Eaters. Personally, my money's on the White Scars.

[2.] The Guardian of the Covenant: What more could you ask for in a Dark Angels successor than a chapter that looks even more knightly (with their mostly steel-coloured armour, and prominent robes), acts all that much more warrior monk-like (with the gathering of knowledge being one of the things that motivates them most) and even has a history of looking out for standard humans more than most.

[3.] The Dark Hunters: Do you like the savage but cultured White Scars? Me too. How about the fighting-smarter-not-just-harder Raven Guard, making use of shadow, surprise, and obfuscation as a force multiplier? Same here. Do you wish either/both of those had a less plain colour scheme? Well that's why these guys are great. They're a deep blue-painted White Scars successor who have adopted Raven Guard tactics into their combat style to a notable degree, after having fought alongside them in the past.

[4.] The Howling Griffons: I love space marines at least in large part because the concept of a space knight really appeals to me. Here, we've got an Ultramarines successor that takes that concept to its fullest (without becoming a religious templar). They're hugely honour-driven, taking their vows pretty much more seriously than anybody else, and even paint their armour in an almost Bretonnia-style of medieval artistry and boldness.

[5.] The Absolvers: Blood Angels successors who are, for a real change, quite different from the rest of their fellow sons of Sanguinius. Rather than feeling like yet another blood-thirsting noble vampire knock-off, with their own slight variation (which too many Blood Angels successors feel like, in my opinion), this chapter doesn't reveal to outsiders (and even many of its own chapter members) who they're a successor of; out of humility. They see Sanguinius as the mightiest and most worthy of people, so much so that they don't yet feel worthy of openly and brazingly declaring their affiliation. They instead characterise themselves with another vow and honour-driven motivation, a strict adherence to the Codex Astartes, and a presence on the battlefield that leaves on-lookers wondering they're anything from an Ultramarines successor to sons of Jaghatai Khan.

Some honourable mentions (because I cheated a little, above: I picked my top 4, and then the 5th entry - the Absolvers - were just another random one from the rest of my top 10/15 or so; chosen only because they have artwork like this, while the others don't):

* Black Guard

* Dark Krakens

* Destroyers

* Marines Errant

* Red Talons

* Shadow Wolves

* Star Dragons

* Tigers Argent

Why people dont use firestrike servo turrets more?

i was just cooking up some lists on new recruite and i had just enough points for a FST and the theoretical 7 wounds on a perfect roll is interesting,but i never saw them on the tabletop. Why dont people use them more?

Need help deciding on what to finish off my 2k Ultramarine list with.

I want to take my space marines list up to 2000 points but I'm unsure what to fill out my final 235 points with. I've also been tossing and turning over using either Blade of Ultramar or Reclamation Force.

My current ideas have been to add a squad of jump pack intercessors or possibly one of the dreadnought variants.
