First ever model painted! (With pictures this time!)
Finally started my painting journey, getting through my sea of Games Workshop Grey. I'm pretty proud of it for a first try and wanted to share.
Obviously not perfect, so any tips for improving from my fellow Tech Adepts?
Going to a tournament this Saturday, hope I won't encounter those yet
Almost finished my dunecrawler
Actually I think that the base - is the best thing in this, I really got the most pleasure from painting a base as this is
Dark Mech Elucidian Starstriders
I’ve always been curious about the starstriders, so I thought I’d kitbash a team to try them out, and they’re ain’t no kitbash like a dark mech kitbash.
First picture are all the specialists, second picture has the voidsmen.
UV printing decals
I got a UV printer for side hobby and want to make a sheet of dtf decals with custom cog design. Anyone used UV decals before and any issues?
I've been on the heretical side for a bit, but wanted to really have fun with the contrast in scale between my skitaari and my latest abominable creation (side note: if your fabricator general starts putting arms on porphyrions, keep an eye on them...) I bring you a modern day Skidaavid and Goliath
A Young Magos Has Finally Finished a Unit of Skitarii
After 2 years in the hobby and assembling 8 entire armies I'm back to the first of them. Behold, the first full unit I've painted among the 30,000+ points worth of models spanning 4 different game systems.
I am a woefully inefficient painter. This took me 8 hours to finish and 5 of the models were already done, but now that I've finished this unit and the earned dopamine is coursing through my veins I feel like the remaining 4905 points of AdMech I have assembled will go quick.
I realize they aren't as cool or flashy as some of the other posts I've seen here, but these little guys are a massive leap in tackling what has proved to be one of the biggest obstacles of my hobby career: motivation.
If only my flesh weren't so weak...
Seeking assistance from fellow Magos
Hello, fellow members of the Cult Mechanicus. I humbly request your assistance in naming this Magos I just made as a crucible of champions idea. For running with Serberys Raiders, planning on giving them the increased OC value ability.
New Tech Priest kitbash
Primarily made from a Delaque Psy Geist (great box btw, very fun models to work with) the rest is from the electro-priests kit, and leftover pieces from a phobos librarian (the right arm and the rubble). I used milliput to connect the back pack to the tubing of the staff, then layered it with sprue goo to seemlessly connect it all. I did the same with the face, filling it in with putty before sanding it, then added a layer of GOO to give it a glossy smooth surface.
still have to do a little clean up before I get painting, and im not totally happy with the pipe in front of the rubble, but overall Im really happy to add this freak to my army. Might use him as a engineseer, or perhaps a technoarcheologist for kill team. Now I just gotta figure out a name.
