Mixed clans army
At the end of the day I'll do what I bloody like, but I was wondering is there was any source material concerning Iron Hands deploying battle forces comprised of a mix of squads from different clans ?
What would be the plausible background for my upcoming army that has units from 3/4 different clans ?

Planning out my first 1k, advice appreciated!
Pic for attention, but it is one of my most recently painted deathwatch kitbashes that I'm pretty proud of. I love taking boring intercessors and giving them character.
I'm finally pulling the trigger on starting Sons of Medusa. Caanok Var, five termies, a transfer sheet, and a ballistus are in the mail right now. I wanted some feedback because I know the model count is low and I don't have any real mobility/scoring units. If I don't want phobos or flyers, is that just something I'll have to accept?

This has always bugged me.
Ferrus fought against the Emperor. Their fight leveled mountains and created earthquakes. Neither of them won, and Ferrus accepted the Emperor as an equal and superior, then joined the Imperium, but got beaten by Fulgrim twice. The second time he got killed despite being the biggest and strongest primarch? It really makes no sense.
