Is it normal for USPS to take this long to update after my package was accepted?

I have other packages coming in and for all of them it only took some hours to leave the post office after being picked up and accepted. Is it possible that the carrier just forgot to scan it, and should I wait until delivery / closer to delivery date to see if it shows up?

what’s with the free shipping on so many items?

is this some kind of weird top secret shipping campaign ? i was adding tops to my bag to see the shipping calculations after the 1.99 thing ended, and i was pretty baffled to see that i was only being charged a marketplace fee. i’m not complaining about this at all, but i’m pretty confused 🤔
