I get called ugly a lot but am I really THAT bad

Anyone can feel free to reply but as a 15 year old, I turn 16 in may. I have had lots of trouble keeping friends with people or having real friends, I feel as if I’m a very kind person who tries to help the people i consider my friends when needed but in return I get treated horribly if I let people. Now I don’t let people walk all over me, but whenever I set boundaries in a respectful way it always ends up ending the friendship. I take the people I care about very seriously and love to have meaningful relationships but it seems hard for me to , I could have shallow friendships or relationships if I didn’t care but I have to much self respect hence the fact I’ve only had one boyfriend. Can anyone help me maintain healthy relationships as a teen girl who yearns for actual friends?
