I'm working on porting my game to the PS Vita

It was a lot of work, but I got it to work on the PS Vita!

It's a bit hard to port this, and I had to cut some things, the physics needed to be simplified, but porting this was a lot of fun! :D

The game runs at 30 fps and even has a 60 fps mode but it's a bit unstable

I'm planning to release a free port on Itch after the Steam launch!

I'm porting my game to PS Vita in 2026

I love the PS Vita, so I decided to put in the work and port my game from PC to the Vita!

It was a lot of effort and I had to scale down some of the quality and physics, but I got it running!

I'm planning to release the Vita port for free on Itch soon!

If you're curious, it's Wrecking Wave on steam!

After 5 years of work, I'm finally launching my first game on Steam! Wrecking Wave!

It's a 2D physics destruction game where you play as a sea creature demolishing cities to stop a mad scientist polluting your ocean.

Every structure collapses uniquely, debris flies, chain reactions everywhere!

There's a speedrun mode, special challenges, upgrades, and collectible hats because even monsters need style :D

I ported my game to the PS Vita!!!

It was a lot of work, but I got it to work on the PS Vita! Seeing my game running on actual Vita hardware was insane!! I am very happy :D

The game runs between 5-15 fps...
Yes... there are some performance issues to fix, but once I sort those out I'm planning to release a free port on Itch!

the menus are locked at 30 fps which is good

but with some improvements I think I can get the whole game to run at 30 fps!

If you're curious, it's Wrecking Wave on steam!

My game was noticed by Devolver Digital a while back, and it still remains my biggest spike in wishlists to this day

Wrecking Wave was noticed by Devolver Digital a while back (https://x.com/i/status/2005469645386784980) It's still my biggest wishlist spike to this day

when Devolver shared it, I couldn't believe it

Still riding that motivation honestly :D

As I'm getting close to launch, I've been deep in optimization work for Wrecking Wave. The biggest gains came in scenes with lots of simultaneous physics destruction, exactly the moments that matter most in this game.

the left side is current version, Same scene, same destruction, but a lot more performance :D

Still a lot to do before launch but this felt like a milestone worth sharing!

The demo doesn't have this type of optimization yet, but I'll update it soon!

I'm trying to promote my arcade roguelite Drift Splatter on Instagram and TikTok and I want to know if this type of short gameplay video actually works for getting wishlists

Does videos like this work?
I wanted something quick and short, that would give the necessary information, but not all of it, to leave the user curious enough to visit the Steam page

For those who have already created this type of game, what kind of strategies did you use?
